The one and only language where the phone number of the city waste dump sounds like an acknowledgment of love.

Which is better than German, where you can tell someone you love them, and it sounds like you are threatening to hit them in the face with a shovel.

Or did Kyle just carry messages?

What's the message?

Ah Kyle, there was no particular message.

It was just that NZ internet crashed for a couple of days, due to a few people trying to look at rude pictures of Hollywood stars. It was terrible, I had to send up smoke signals. :P

How dare they!

I hope your internet is better now.

I know. And it shows how poor the NZ infrastructure is, that some small thing like that could crash the whole system.

I was one of the lucky ones, I could get on line for about a minute or two every hour, so I at least managed to post a couple of messages telling people why I wasn't around. We still had NZ websites, it was just nearly impossible to get anything outside of the country.

It hurt me, most of my life is online. :P

Is that why you're 'Screaming on the inside?' :P

Us Finns always picture in our minds New Zealand as a technologically advanced nation. Some sheep, sure, but still.

No, that's to do with getting on a plane in a few days.

:lmao:

No.

Every time there is a storm we lose power. A couple of people try to look at nudie pictures and the Internet crashes. I love NZ, but the infrastructure here sucks. It's like going back in time twenty years.

Strange. It could never be that serious in Scandinavia. If the storm cuts down trees to lean on power cables, the damage is cleared the next day or night. Maximum time without power never exceeds 2 hours.

You could teach us a thing or two. We'd be lucky if the power repairs guys got here in a couple of hours, let alone had it fixed by then. The worst I've had here has been two days, but a couple of years ago in the South Island they were off for a couple of weeks, in the middle of winter. We do get regular power cuts, although to be fair it's been a lot better over the last couple of years. Maybe they are improving things.

I'm lucky too, we have a gas cooker (bottle, so no gas main problems) and a wood fire, so we don't suffer too much if the power is out.
