^Ha ha! I actually do have an old telephone in the kitchen [it's a pretty old house], but when someone calls both the old phone and the wireless phone ring simultaneously, which is not nice for a sensitive Aspie! It's like this, but pinkish.

Yep...That's a wall model. Up until the late 1970s, we only had wall sets and desk sets. We had to rent phones from Ma Bell--we couldn't buy phones then. Ma Bell had to install them. We couldn't take the phone outside of the room they were in--unless we bought an expensive 50 foot wire.
