I gone without both for a few weeks during the hurricanes... We ended up with a generator after that season. It would run the well, fridge and the AC, (really couldn't run the whole house, we had a large house). As an adult, I lived in my SUV on and off over the years. Not hard to keep the phone charged and run small fans, off batteries. But having a shower is important, so not having running water is the worse.

Have you ever been through an hurricane?
