I would be absolutely okay with that if a) healthcare in this country were not 5-24 times more expensive than in other countries for comparable procedures and b) if there was ANY consistency (7k for a procedure in one place, adn 36k for the same in another...

Let's talk dentures, for instance... to get dentures, they take a mold of the mouth and send it off to a shop that makes them and sends them back... the doctor, literally spends 15 minutes on it. 15 minutes and $10 of dental alginate (if they are not getting it in bulk)... and the dentures come in from the shop at a tag of $150-350... depending on which of 4 labs they order from... and then they are sold to the patient at $750 - 3500...

So... why should everyone pay more when there is such a ridiculous mark up...

Yep, definitely fit in to this sector. In groups I find that I typically "join clubs but not cliques"...
And find myself to be unpopular as always. This generally does not bother me but it can be
A detriment at times in getting things I want or need...

Eh, I didn't know such... divisions existed on this site. Unpopularity would probably be me, but I'm a lone wolf nonetheless who claims no group and goes wherever I want to do whatever I want, whether I am reconized or ignored. So if you see this post, do both of those, in order... Then get behind me because I've adamantly, albeit, esoterically claimed leadership of this club.

Joking about that last part. One of those- infamous jokes of mine where I tragically forgot to smile so you didn't know I was joking. Shame on you...
