I'll answer this one because it looks fun.
I would be moderately screwed, since Radiant Historia takes place in the middle of a war with monsters everywhere.

In theory, yes.

If you could travel to Orion [either the planet or the constellation] or the Pleiades, which would you choose?

I would probably choose Orion.

Do you think that this decade is less optimistic than the decades before this one, or do you think that it is the other way around?

I think that as long as people keep trying to escape the present moment, which is all there ever is, 'history' will repeat.

What's the scariest book you've ever read?

Jut because it's interesting I will answer it.

I think it's more optimistic then the decades before it. Contrary to what the mainstream media will have you believe it's actually the most peaceful time in human history. Science is advancing faster then ever before and the problems we do have are not insurmountable.

Hard to say, I haven't read many scary books. I would have to go with Moonseed by Steven Baxter which involves the world being eaten by a virus-like creature that evolved to live in space but is devastating when brought to a planet. Eventually humans had to throw together some missions to the Moon and set up enough colonies to save humanity before Earth exploded.

What is the most unlikely thing that has ever happened to you?

The fact that I survived birth and continued to survive after that is ridiculously unlikely.

same question

Funny story: me being on this forum as well as meeting Lillikoi and my best friend Ben can all be traced back to a single event. I can't be 100% sure but I also suspect it lead to me leaving my religion and completely changing my political views. In essence it was probably the most pivotal moment in my life yet it is so mundane: turning on a radio station about 2 years ago.

It was some local talk show hosted by this guy named Brian Hyde, he is very conservative, very christian, and a bit of a conspiracy theorist. I used to be a conspiracy theorist myself but had since changed my mind, and although I agreed with him about a lot at the time we certainly didn't agree about everything. I had to drive around a lot to pick up my brother from college most days and I killed time by listening to that talk show.

One day the topic being discussed was something called remote viewing, a physic thing that people could presumably train themselves to do. I was skeptical but what caught my interest was that it seemed so testable. When I got home I did some more research on the topic which eventually lead me to all sorts of new ager stuff like telekinesis and astral projection which are supposedly possible. I never actually believed any of it, I was mostly just looking for a way to test that kind of thing because some of it seemed so easy to test and it would be so awesome if any of it were true. As I researched astral projection I found one source which said that it can be induced from within a lucid dream, so my goal then became lucid dreaming.

As I looked into lucid dreaming my quest to test psychic stuff was put aside as I learned how awesome lucid dreaming was and how it already is scientifically proven to be real. For a few months I tried to learn to lucid dream with some success although even today I have not quite mastered it. At the time I was quite active on a forum for the game Kerbal Space Program and I decided to make a post in the random discussion section talking about lucid dreaming. One reply I got was particularly interesting, from a guy named Ben who said he had a lucid dream every night where he went to the same persistent dream world. We decided to talk about it more and exchanged Skype contact information, we later found that we have a lot of the same interests and began playing multiplayer games together until we became good friends, I still talk to him every day.

One day I randomly wondered if autism had any effect on dreaming so I looked it up and although I didn't find anything too interesting that lead me to start researching more about autism because I realized I didn't know much about it even though I had been diagnosed with it at a young age. This sparked an obsession with psychology and mental illness that lasted a few months and on this one blog I read there was a link to this forum, so I decided to sign up and use it as an outlet for my obsession so that I'm not annoying everyone around me by talking about it constantly.

Ben is the guy who first got me into role playing and pushed me to develop my science fiction universe. For a while I was mildly obsessed with it and that was about when Midnightstar18 made the Pokemon Roleplaying Club of Awesomeness. I decided it would be fun to join as a character from my universe and Lillikoi happened to join as well, which was the first time we had really directly interacted on this forum. Not too long later I figured out that asexuality is a thing and that I fit into that quite well, and I learned that Lillikoi was asexual as well so I decided it might be worth getting to know them a bit better. 11 months later, we are in a relationship. :mrgreen:

So yeah, that is probably the most unlikely thing to ever happen to me. I have this weird fear of meeting people in unlikely ways because it means that if there are multiple universes then less versions of me would care about the same people. It's really weird, but in this case I might have screwed over many alternate versions of me. Sorry guys. :lol:

~~~
Much too long response to my own question aside:
What would you do if you had a million dollars and saving it or investing it wasn't an option?
I would buy a house and a car, and then donate the rest of it to people who need it.
Same question.
i'm not sure what is meant by investing. i want to have money for my future family but perhaps that's disallowed. normally when gifted a huge amount of money and i had to spend it i'd get a house, but here even a million dollars is barely enough for something nice. maybe i'll move somewhere else and get a house there, a slightly used lexus and donate the rest to something trustworthy.
do you have veiny arms?
My veins are very small and thin, so I also have that problem.
What's the weirdest anime you've ever seen? [If you don't watch anime, please pass this question on to someone who does, and instead: What's the most times you've seen the same actor in multiple tv shows/movies?]
Uhm... Yondemasuyo Azazel-san. 8O :lol: And Petshop of Horrors, which is kind of like an anime Twilight Zone.
Same question.
I don't watch much anime but there is this one I saw that was very weird, each character represented a nation and it went through world history portraying it as interactions between a few people. I don't remember what it is called.
Same question.
