Sauteed tomato, green pepper, onion and garlic in butter with two scrambled eggs and salsa on the side and a cup of organic coffee with cream and little sugar.

I'm emptying (or eating spoonful by spoonful for the rest of the evening) a bowl of mixed pieces of fruit. Pineapple, orange, melon, lychees and peach this time. It's a routine I do (almost) daily. Lets call it.... good mood food and I strongly advocate to eat healthy, folks.

(the importance of eating healthy foods is highly underestimated, I think).

For sure! Fruit is key and that sounds delicious. I have trouble getting to the store these days and then of course the hassle of preparing food and clean up. It's a vicious cycle, and if I don't, only promotes more depression.

The fruit used doesn't necessarily have to come from fresh fruit. Fruit out of a tin is fine too. With me it's mostly a mixture.... some out of a can/tin and some I chop up myself.... like apple, orange or melon.

But I'm also a nuts and seeds man. (um, no pun this time) Well, it's a whole ranch of things/foods I purposely eat (like for instance sunflower seeds for they are rel. highly loaded with magnesium and Mg is a very important mineral/metal folks tend to have too little of in their systems.... no kidd ya) and there are things/food I purposely avoid.

I'm quite obsessed about this and I really hope and wish that one fine day I can publish my findings and yeah, opinions, I try to find empirical prove for. It's about the correlation between food and 'mental' troubles of various kinds.

Blah (3x).... but I'll come back on this for sure....

I didn't know that specifically about the sunflower seeds and magnesium. I'm aware of the importance of Magnesium too. I agree with you about mental troubles in association with nutrition. I find also if I don't get the recommended amount of fluids a day I'm more prone to depression, and fruit plays a part there also. Good luck on that, I hope you can do it, would be quite an accomplishment. ~To good health!!
