It's a good idea to rant about things that have gone on for years.

I like the old red Russian flag better than that red, white and blue flag that they fly today. Red, white and blue just doesn't spell Russia for me.

Oregon should not have a new state flag.

The school system in this country is incredibly flawed and not made for people like me, moreover I noticed many teachers apply the same methods to all pupils (not talking about the in-lesson stuff but about the behind-the-scenes-part), which just doesn't work.
Creating stress for me and putting me under pressure doesn't make me feel any better. Other than that it's pretty illogical in some parts. Let's say someone stops school due to a sickness at a certain part, why isn't that person allowed to repeat only from that one part then but has to repeat the whole grade? This is ridiculous.

Everybody except my family disagreed. "It's law so it should be that way", am I the only one questioning the sanity of the politicians here in this country at times and their laws and the allowed methods concerning education and pedagogics?
Complicated story, can't really elaborate without filling four pages of a thread. This story made me realized how stupid that system is though.

Australian gun laws are excessively restrictive and anyone who opposes this has no clue about guns or the relevant legislation regarding them.

It's as if the legislators have intentionally gone out of their way to irritate licensed and genuine gun owners with no regard to public safety or logic.

Howard's words paraphrased: make so much red tape that most people won't go through with it.

Oz firearm owner here; licensed for...13 years now.

At least you can pay for the individual permits (see: tax) online now in my state; I was kinda getting sick of police officers constantly asking you what you want whatever firearm you're applying for for, in one of those tones (ah, it's written right there on the permit, thank you very much). Always nice for the police to make you feel like you're doing something wrong or that they're suspicious of you just because you want to plink tin-cans or hunt on your or someone else's land (or at a range if you live in the suburbs).

The laws utterly suck, and yeah, that's probably an unpopular opinion in Oz, apart from people interested in shooting.

Yep, unpopular due to fear and ignorance.

My posts are not crap, they are not full of unnecessary drama, and they don't clutter up any threads.

Valentine's Day as it is nowadays should be renamed to "Doesn't have anything to do with Valentine anymore"-Day or "Flower-Mass-Butchering-Day" or something like that. Well, you get the idea. :D
