I can imagine that in the South Island, there are problems. It is not so densely inhabited as the North Island. But do you have these power supply problems in the major cities, too, like Auckland and Wellington?

I've never lived in the big cities, so I'm not sure. Probably not. The joys of living in the country.

But as long as the rural location that you are in has high enough hills to burn the smoke-signal fires on, it is almost as good as the Internet, and besides, you can make s'mores....

How lucky I am to live in a country where there have never been volcanos. Never.
