I can imagine that in the South Island, there are problems. It is not so densely inhabited as the North Island. But do you have these power supply problems in the major cities, too, like Auckland and Wellington?

I've never lived in the big cities, so I'm not sure. Probably not. The joys of living in the country.

And the joy of warming up the iron on top of the stove?

But as long as the rural location that you are in has high enough hills to burn the smoke-signal fires on, it is almost as good as the Internet, and besides, you can make s'mores....

@Sylkat - I am on the top of a very high hill. Well, actually it's a volcano.

How lucky I am to live in a country where there have never been volcanos. Never.

No volvanic activity.
No sinkholes.
No tornadoes.
No tsunami.
No terrorism.
No car bombs.

Need I continue?

What I said at the current end of the 'We love Moomingirl' thread, goes for you too, Sylkat.

Not to mention cold. And wolves. And bears. Although apparently those are fine. As long as you have some nice fruit for them they will just give you a big kiss. 8)

Oh no. Just the opposite. The land is rising from the sea.

Ummmmm, isn't that what Cthulhu's island is supposed to do when he is ready to awaken?

The Kraken has an island?

I thought that he just cruised around underwater, destroying the occasional ship.

Our lakes have them all. Now, just think about what all the millions of Canadian lakes are housing.
