Any thoughts on my most recent dreams, auntblabby? *curious*

sorry, but my dream references don't seem to have any hobbit stuff in them. the only thing I could find was that to see or dream that you are a hobbit refers to your potential for greatness. You hold the power to change.

^That's okay! A lot of things have been changing in my life recently, actually. What do you think about my mage dream [I think it got buried a few pages back]?

I had a bizarre dream that I was an epic looking magician [the mage kind, not the stage kind], who was running through the twisty halls of a school trying to escape. But it was like he/I was running through molasses and so exhausted that he/I could barely move. When he/I finally escaped, he/I realized that there were still children trapped inside, but I don't know what happened after that.
Magician
To see or dream that you are a magician signifies that an issue or a task at hand may be trickier than you had anticipated. You are feeling disillusioned. Alternatively, the dream means that you are trying to fool yourself or someone into believing something that you know is not true.
Magic
To perform or dream of magic suggests that you need to look at things from a different view or approach your problems from a new angle in order to successfully move forward. Alternatively, magic symbolizes creativity and wonder. Perhaps someone or something has caused you to be in awe. The dream may also be a metaphor that you or someone is "up to some trick". To dream of black magic implies that you have obtained your wishes and wants through underhanded tricks. It also symbolizes deception, evil and treachery.
School
To dream that you are in school signifies feelings of inadequacy and childhood insecurities that have never been resolved. It may relate to anxieties about your performance and abilities. If you are still in school and dream about school, then the dream may just be a reflection of your daily life and has no special significance. Alternatively, a dream that takes place in school may be a metaphor for the lessons that you are learning from your waking life. You may be going through a "spiritual learning" experience. To dream that you are looking for a school suggests that you need to expand your knowledge and learning. To dream that you are at a new school means that you are feeling out of place in some situation. Or perhaps there is a new lesson that you need to learn. To dream that you are running away from school means that you are not being receptive to new ideas and viewpoints. You have not learned from your past mistakes.
Running
To dream that you are running away from someone indicates an issue that you are trying to avoid. You are not taking or accepting responsibility for your actions. In particular, if you are running from an attacker or any danger, then it suggests that you are not facing and confronting your fears. To dream that you are trying to run but cannot make your feet move as fast as you want them to signifies lack of self-esteem and self-confidence. It may also reflect your actual state of REM paralysis during the dream state. To dream that you are running alone refers to your determination and motivation in the pursuit of your goals. You will find success and rise above those around you. Alternatively, the dream may mean that you need to hurry up in making a decision.

^Thanks a lot for all that! :) I've been feeling sort of trapped lately, especially at school.

Yes, I'm sure things will work out. I've been teaching myself how to let go of fear and worry, and it's really working! 8)

Ok so this morning I was dreaming something pretty weird just before I woke up.

I was on a fairly extensive piece of real estate--large building, long hallways, lots of rooms, extensive grounds with nice places for outdoor gatherings and activities.

There was definitely stuff going on with lots of small groups, like classes, mostly containing people of the same age range in each individual group with two or three adult leaders monitoring each group. Every age group from toddlers to retired folks. All the groups had cookies.

In this dream I was like an Administrator or an Administrative Assistant or maybe even just an attendance secretary, but I was going 'round from group to group checking up that everything was going well in their little meetings and everyone was happy and had enough cookies. Cookies were for some reason very, very important in this dream.

There was this feeling in the back of my mind about a certain teenager who was part of the whole big compound, but sort of a loner. Lots of people were worried about him because he was withdrawing from the teen meetings and not having many cookies and spending most of his time on a personal computer playing a massive online MMORPG and kind of running it as a real life world takeover simulation. I personally was worried that it would become real, not a game, like the kid in WarRoom who eventually is at risk of launching all the world's nuclear missiles and blowing up the earth. OK, so I'm worried about this one teen, and as I go by the PC he's usually on he's not there. But there is a computer printout sheet tacked to the wall nearby, and it says something about his goal to make his real life like the most epic MMORPG ever. And this pretty well confirms my suspicions that he's on the verge of switching from his games and simulations to a real global takeover...meanwhile I'm supposed to be just checking up on all the groups and making sure they are happy with their cookies.

yeah. So I go outside and here's the 1st and 2nd graders (that would be kids 6 to 8 years old for people unfamiliar with the US public school system) and while there looks to me like they have a bowl and a few trays with cookies, the adults monitoring this group insist that they don't have enough cookies. "We have to have at least two or three for each of us!" they say. I'm doing the math in my head and there's probably enough for each of them to have five or six cookies, but I'm in no position to argue with them. So now I'm going around to all the other groups trying to get them to give up a share of cookies for the six to eight year olds. And all of them have lots of cookies, but none of them will donate a few to the kids' group. And when they do they are . . . weird cookies. Cookies that look like they were baked by people who don't know what cookies are supposed to be like. They are weird globs of baked dough with non-cookie-like consistency (mostly too heavy) and odd flavors like unsweetened cinnamon muffins or soda bread or something.

Yeah. This was a weird dream. I had only acquired a half-dozen poor quality cookies to take to the kiddoes when the alarm rang to get ready for work. I told a little bit of my dream to NTHubby. He said the mind-control drugs were in the cookies, and the teenager with the world-takeover ambitions was my son (who is now 26 years old and the father of twin baby boys, so not exactly a MMORPG teenager anymore).

What you think?

^^^
Cookies
To dream that you are eating, giving, receiving, or stealing cookies indicate that you are letting trivial matters and minor problems annoy you. To dream that you are baking cookies signify feelings of optimism and increases. You may also experience a rise in status. If you dream that a freshly baked batch of cookies is out of reach, then it implies that someone else is trying to reap your rewards. In other words, someone is trying to take credit for your hard work. If you are able to get the cookies back, then it means that you are aware of your surroundings and of the people around you. You are regaining control.

I thought my dream was rather more complicated than that. What about the teen with the MMORPG world takeover plot? What about NTHubby's idea that there were mind control drugs in the cookies? It was a ginormous compound I was on after all, making sure there were plenty of cookies for everyone--think Jonestown. KoolAide. That's how NTH interpreted it anyway!

sorry :oop: I couldn't find anything about MMORPG in the dream dictionary. I just do it by the numbers like an amateur painter I guess. but mebbe you can scrabble together different dream insights from me and your NTH and others into some kind of cohesive whole answers? :flower:
