A small factoid you may not know - the music on this strangely moving video is "Nearer, my God, to Thee" (or possibly "Deerer, my God, to Thee").
Also featured in the film Titanic and reputed to be what a small grouip of musicians played as she sank.

So here's a rather nice arrangement of it for organ (my instrument of choice) as a hymn tune -

That was very nice. I’d like to hear the organ live sometime. I’ve never had an opportunity to.

A nice slow burn to a full-throated ending. Great stuff.

There is nothing like experiencing a large cathedral organ in full voice - the air shimmers, vibrates, and stones are moved.
All a listener can do is hold on, ideally braced against a sturdy wall.

I never thought I'd say this, but I would rather have my parents alive and not have to work, than have to work and parents dead. My parents were annoying. They had the nerve to micromanage and judge me, but @ least they financially supported me. (rolls eyes)

I could never live without cats but their fur has a way of sticking to one's face and never leaving.

The main difference between dogs that I don't mind from those I do is where they live.

If their own household, with their own masters, away from my space and do not interfere with my daily living? I'd play with them, even.

If not and is against my consent to let it ever live under the same roof at all?
Any creatures that I do not agree sharing a living space are called pests.

I will play and pet with my bosses' dogs willingly.
Take care of them even if the need arises.

I want to get rid of the pest that s**ts and pisses on the sofa and floor to a point that I hadn't eaten often downstairs ever since it came.
Also no, I refuse to 'respect' it, I refuse to 'accept' it. I don't even ever 'acknowledged' it other than it's a fricking pest.

Wouldn't it be something if the next Summer Olympics take place in Germany?

Thinking of a DIY date book.
A bigger one, but can still fit my shoulder bag at least.

A6 is possibly hard minimum since I write a lot and already able to write small enough to make anyone who need reading glasses have a headache.

If only I can push it to A7; enough to fit in my wallet... Maybe I can try that at some point when I have the time and energy...

Maybe alter some of my clothes to have some hidden pocket...
Maybe DIY a hidden detachable pocket...

Because I actually like not needing a bag. Just the pockets; with keys, wallet, phone...

Santa is replacing his reindeer with deer. Looks like Rudolph is out and Nokotan is in.

I wonder if there's anything that doesn't have a word for what it is

Is there a word for when something doesn't have a word? Maybe that's the thing there isn't a word for.

I happen to be an amateur expert on this topic. I coined the term "thelpism" for something that should have a word but doesn't, and I've coined a number of other words for various other thelpisms.
One of my favorites is "hedgelfunk", which means someone who's bad at driving, and helps me avoid being profane when I encounter such a person. Another one is "crispula": the smell of a campfire. English is severely lacking in olfactory vocabulary.
None of them have made it in the dictionary though.
