When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

The news.

Think I'm strange now? Perhaps a little odd?

No. Being compressed is one of the things I dislike most.

What is your favorite natural disaster (volcanoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, floods, etc.)? Why?

I used to be completely piss in pants terrified of Tornados growing up, like huge panic attacks if there was ever a tornado watch/warning. Now, I love 'em. Even went Tornado chasing once with a friend of a friend who does it. Where I live here in the chicago area they rarely exist, but just travel a few hours west/south west and you are in tornado alley.

Have you ever been unfortunate enough to experience a natural disaster?

Several.

Hurricanes hit Florida all the time.
Although the Tampa Bay area (where I am) is somewhat sheltered from the dominant path of most storms.
We got hit pretty closely by Hurricane Elena in 1985.
And at least grazed by any number of other ones,
including the insane year of 2004
where Hurricanes Charley, Frances, and Jeane all passed basically right over us, within the space of several weeks, although my immediate area experienced limited damage.
Hurricanes can be incredibly picky. I remember with Charley, an hour's drive south of us, homes were flattened and flooded. We were fine. I've lived in Florida for 24 years, and never experienced a devastating hurricane directly. I am incredibly lucky.

Southern Can is Mine by... Blind Willie McTell (actually I've been listening to most of his songs repeatedly, but this one in particular at the moment).
