I seem to have stepped in it by merely commenting on present events in a certain Midwestern city. oh well, can't please everybody :shrug:

I suppose I'd have to be included as part of this thread in that, I've never really been popular or well like be it online forums or in my life in general. In fact, I recall how way back on Yahoo certain parties made me out to be the Darth Vader of the group. Basically, I was seen as the individual whom brought others down or made people feel unhappy.. Honestly, wished I'd never had mild depression in my entire life but, treating someone in callous is not very kindhearted. Anyways, I'e returned here to WP hoping to find some serenity and friendship with those whom left behind and make new friends too..

I'm not sure what to post here but, Anonymous I do remember you under my previous username 2-3 years ago as, it's nice your still around with some other stalwarts of wp too..

Being strong enough to stand up for yourself and others should make you popular but it never does.
People would rather you shut up and only be friendly and happy. Being confrontational is a big no no in today's society no matter the topic at hand.

I try to avoid confrontational people because of anxiety, but I used to be confrontational myself.

Growing up I've always heard 'if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all," yet people still ask me why I don't talk much. :lol: I really hate that saying. If you have a problem with something, you should be able to express that issue without fear of being shot down because you're 'not being very nice'. That mentality is what got me banned from a forum a few years ago. I haven't really changed from how I was then. I still think the say way; I just act on it less often, out of anxiety.

Oh my gosh, I just found a friend's blog post back from the Dark Ages, and despite what a dark time that was (hence, 'Dark Ages') I feel kind of nostalgic. http://writerality.blogspot.com/2012/07 ... utant.html

Some girl asked if we could be friends and I said '...that's okay. I don't need friends.'

I really haven't changed since 2012, lol.

Don't know where I belong - never did. Don't fit in much - anywhere - RL or cyber. Though there seem to be accepting folks here on WP and this thread strikes a chord.

I hate it when I'm having a wonderfully terrible day, and then something good happens.

I'm currently ranked at #6 out of 25(?) trumpets. (First chair female trumpet...if that were a thing...It's a dominantly male section.) I beat two people from the band above me (the top band), and everyone in my band. Unless I completely suck at mock region and actual region auditions, I might move up to symphonic next semester.
