Ughh, no.

Sometimes just hearing a trumpet causes anxiety. Band stresses me out.

:? i'm a bit confused here - you are in a band, you do well in the band, but it stresses you out? when I was in the band [from 6th through college] my main complaint was sitting between the bass drums/tympani/other percussions [guts vibrating to a sometimes nauseating extent] and the higher brasses [deafening].

Yep. Though I'm not usually that 'good' compared to everyone else. A lot of the competition graduated last year, I guess.

It's kind of like a cult.

with me, I had to migrate to an instrument [contralto clarinet] that had no competitors. so I was "first chair/only chair."

I'm doing okay though, earlier when I tried to view this forum noticed seeing a message indicating I was not allowed to do so..

Well, mr Blabby thanks for confirming that.I'm glad that wp tends to be a typing oriented forum in that, I doubt, I'd do well in verbal chat context at this current time for my voice is messed up due to an unpleasant sinus infection..Anyways, I tend to find a great deal of information here on wp as well, would sincerely like to make friends in a most honorable manner..

when I had recurrent sinus infections, my voice would deepen quite nicely, I sounded like lee marvin! haven't had a serious sinus infection since I eliminated refined carbs from my diet [which restored my optimum acid balance which, when out of whack caused inflammation and perpetually clogged sinuses that would get infected from pooled nasty stuff festering inside up there]. so I miss the lee marvin voice but definitely NOT the infections that went with it. does your voice go deep also, during sinus infections?
