I'm finally going to the winter formal dance after 3 years of not going.

@kevinjh: I still have a lot to say, but I don't have time to reply because my parents are yelling at me to go to bed. I'll try to comment tomorrow.

The dances do not seem rewarding to me, but duty supersedes preference in my case.

G'night.

I have finished reading Fingersmith and now I am reading another Sarah Waters book: Affinity. I've read 52 pages tonight. So far, so good.

It's interesting how, after only a day or two of not posting on this forum, it's so easy to "fall out of the loop" and struggle to get back into any conversations here. I can't relate to any of the most recent posts. (Doesn't help that everything is a re-hash of what has already happened though).

I really don't feel I have any input to offer at the moment.

You might want to rethink that, unless you're a vet.
It's not some cute breed of dog; it's a puppy in deep trouble: http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/whelpingwaterpuppies.htm

It's better than somebody killing it. I thought that a special dog like that could use an owner who knows what it's like to be seen as an invalid. Sorry for speaking my mind.

Unless it's dealt with quickly there's a risk of losing the whole litter and the mother.
It's an upsetting decision to make but if something dies, it's better to lose one to save the litter and the mother. This is simply good animal husbandry.
Plus, they normally die anyway - read the article.

The mildly effected pups that survive the first 2 - 3 days, have been reported to become normal, and others say there were other underlying problems and they died within the first week.

The choice to try and save, or to let the pup go without suffering, will be between you and your vet, how much experience you have behind you, and if you are willing to put in the time PLUS be prepared for heartache. Trying to save these pups at this time, is considered experimental.
I don't think the one you pictured could be considered mildly affected.

ETA: you edited your post while I was writing my response.
It's nothing like being an invalid, I'm afraid, otherwise I'd agree with you.

Forgive me for being so sensitive the past few days, everybody. It was around this time of the month, a year and a half ago that Pete Quaife of The Kinks passed away.

I also don't need people to make me their project and making me more like the rest of the people by ordering me not to post about this, or other Kinks related things at a time like this. If my mum would have supported me instead of stating the obvious because of the fact that I'm on the spectrum, the grieving process would have been a lot faster.

Do other people's icon things randomly change to 'no new posts' on here too?

A good cup of coffee has to be so strong that it makes your eyes go weird. Any coffee that doesn't possess the right amount of caffeine isn't worth a pee in a swimming bath.

I'll be having more good cups of coffee more often. I can't drink energy drinks anymore. My mum's been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and it runs on her side of the family. Since I look like a few members of her side of the family, that means that I carry more of her genes than my dad's genes, so I can only drink good coffee, tea, diet cola and water. What fun?
