Anyone fancy a Valentine's Day card from me?

Every little helps.

I tend to find Valentine's Day somewhat depressing I have to say. Anyway...

I just remembered my sister used to refer to the seat I'm sitting in as "the chair of doom", once you sit in it you don't want to move.

Cheezus Crust. There are none so blind as those who will not see.
And some people make that an art-form.

I'm in a much happier mood, and I'm listening to more of my favourite music again. :)

Now I see two bright objects in the sky, could they be Venus and Jupiter?

^I don't know but that reminded me - I guess it must have been a clear night last night and the stars looked beautiful. Might sound a bit silly but I actually find it quite moving looking up at them.

Nothing silly about about that at all, a clear starry night sky is a wonderful sight to see, whether you like astronomy or not.

Looking SW right now you'll see Jupiter highest, then the Moon (waxing crescent), then Venus lowest in the sky - all arranged more or less in a line starting high in the SW and going down towards the W.
Uranus is also between the Moon and Venus but won't be visible.

It won't be long before I take a nap. I also love looking at the night sky, seeing all the stars and the brightest planets.

I used to be obsessed with astronomy. I asked for a telescope for my 13th birthday and went stargazing with it. I'd even make my own imaginary star charts. Good times...

I can potentially start a new obsession. Try this:
Solar insolation
After that, understanding the reason for why horizontal sundials work will be fun (and vaguely proof-like)!
