^^^what do you think it was trying to tell you?

Top five list:
1. Not to take my car to an auto service centre at a department store.
2. Not to go out to the maul late at nite.
3. Carry a cellphone on me whenever I go out (I did forget to take it with me the other nite to my show).
4. Perhaps I'm overdue an "overniter" trip, as I haven't done one since last fall.
5. Perhaps I've got some sort of surprise shopping spree coming my way at another's expense?

relatively benign cautions then. I used to have recurring dreams of being trapped in a dirty lavatory with all the toilets flooding and turds floating all over the place. :eew:

Although I wasn't "trapped", I did live out your dream in my grade school years where I nearly stepped into a flooded mens' room at a movie theatre where toilets had overflowed and there were indeed turds floating in the water. I had to pee so bad that I carefully shut the door behind me, dropped my pants, and p!ssed into the water on the ground while trying to keep my feet in the dryest spot. IIRC I had hiking boots on but as they were almost brand new I still wanted to avoid getting sh!t near them.

:eew: the meaning my dream was trying to impart on my waking self, was that I need to stop letting $#!Ւ get to me. we tend to dream in punny imagery due to the lack of frontal lobe input.

I dreamt I was Captain Janeway... does that count as weird?

^I've had dreams about Kirk and Spock exploring alien planets and the Voyager crew flying around in X-Wings. :)

Honestly, I neither admire nor am attracted to any specific character trait. I do, however, like Star Trek Voyager, so maybe that has more to do with it.

I've actually dreamt of being Janeway a couple of times, but beyond that, have never been a woman in my dreams.

I dreamt I was bicycling in my old neighborhood [when I was young] and some nasty little black yapper dog chased after me and started snapping at my ankles, so I got out my pepper spray and let him have it between the eyes. the dog yelped and fell back. suddenly I felt sorry for the little cur so I bundled him up and put him in the bike basket and drove him home and rinsed the pepper spray out of his eyes. suddenly he transformed into an Asian woman of buxom build and long black hair who smiled at me and took my hand and we walked together to school. then the dream segued into one where it's early morning/dusk and i'm out in some wilderness field overgrown with brush and wild grass, a bit swampy, and I was with my old man [as he was in his 30s] and his acquaintances, and the ground beneath us was full of gold nuggets, we couldn't take a step without a gold nugget popping out of the ground and getting stuck in our shoes. for some reason I wanted to cross a swamp because I was convinced there was even more gold there, so my dad and I went back to the house and got in the garage where we had a 4wd bus parked, we got in the bus and drove back to the field, by then it was daylight. then I awoke.

I dreamt that I was back in time to the early 80s, and my family and me were sitting in the kitchen of my parents' house, and there was a WP friend of mine sitting at the table next to one of my brothers, who protested that he thought she was weird and wouldn't look at or talk with him, and he walked away in a huff. she was dressed most unusually for her, in a tweed dress with rouged cheeks and a Vidal Sassoon hair cut and aquamarine contact lenses. she and I went out to go shopping at the local goodwill store, I slipped and fell on some stuff some little kid spilt on the tile floor, my WP friend walked away from me at that point, and after I said "WTF?!" I awoke.

Frankly I'm confused. Lost track of which pronoun refers to which person. And which person does what.

1) Your WP friend is a lady.

2) In the dream your brother announces that your friend is "weird".

3) She refuses to talk to him.

4) He leaves in a huff.

Have I got it right?

My guess. Neither your brother, nor your friend are playing themselves in the dream.

They are both symbols of two parts of yourself that are conflicted, and that are pulling apart.

could be  but I don't know for sure. it's like shadow-boxing in the dark, or at least like looking through a crystal but darkly.
