I'm a night owl too. I'm usually awake for the entire "dark" part of the day.

I know some slang but Urban Dictionary is a good helper.

Do you have issues with toe line? That's what I call the seam on socks.

I tend to avoid socks as much as possible, and only wear fuzzy ones.

Do you ever wish that there were more words for things, like the smell of rain, or the way moonlight pours over everything, or the way the sun seemingly rises and sinks into water?

Yes, I do. I think you should invent those words, Kuraudo!

(same with the fuzzy socks!)

barefoot in the house or slippers?

Slippers, but only because I so dislike having dirty feet. Outside, I go barefoot, sort of, because I usually wear sandals.

Would you believe that ponds can be oceans?

if ponds could have salt water and be the lowest points on earth, then yes

Would you believe that I'm afraid of green beans?

I would. I'm usually afraid of more intangible things, myself.

What would you do if you found a portal to another world, one with no gravity?

There are portals everywhere. This is my philosophy because a person could die anywhere, and "beam" up to heaven or whatnot. If I found a portal and could go to a world with no gravity I would be excited and explore it. I hope I wouldn't get too dizzy. I would want to come back.

Also my green bean issue is based on a series of bad memories, so it's not as bizarre as it may sound 8)

same q about the portal

I wouldn't enter, mainly because I have books that need writing. :P

Did you ever look for gold at the ends of rainbows?

In a literal sense, no I don't. In a metaphorical sense, yes. That's the only way to deal with problems sometimes.

Whom did you know better, your mother's mother or your mother's father?

My mother's mother. My mother's father passed away 15 years before I was born.

Do you like having lots of relatives; or would you rather have a small family?

That's a good question for me because I have both, and find both bothersome in their own ways. My dad's side is tiny and I often feel very lonely for more relatives on his side. There are no people alive with my surname except for my brother. (My cousins on that side were from my dad's sister so their last name is her married name).

My mother's side is massive with more people than I know what to do with. I don't even know all their names. When we used to visit California I was overwhelmed by the numbers of relatives, and I wanted privacy.

I have a small immediate family on my mother's side--two grandparents, two aunts, two uncles, and a cousin. There's huge amounts of other relatives on my mother's side, though, and on my father's side things get even larger, and that's not counting my step-mother's family, most of whom I've never met, and my step-father's family, only five of whom I know well enough.

I like that you call "two grandparents, two aunts, two uncles and a cousin" a small immediate family. :D
That's huge to me!

On my dad's side all I have is three cousins (siblings), but one of them moved to Mexico and the other two don't speak to my family other than every few years. My dad has passed away, as well as his sister and his parents. Even my aunt's husband died.

We're quite close, my little immediate family, even though my grandparents are the only ones who live close by.

Would you like a brother or sister [if you are an only child]?

By the grace of God I have an older brother. I love him very much. I learned so much from him growing up. He lives near me and we text all the time (although we don't see each other often or barely ever speak on the phone). He's on holiday in Spain right now and even though we're still texting I miss him because I know he's not nearby.

I always wanted a younger brother as well, because the example of my older brother was so great.

I wouldn't know what to do with a sister. I'm afraid of women.

Some days, I think so, but only if they were the kind of sibling who really cared about me, because then the dark years would have been completely different. Other days I'm glad to be on my own.
