Very unfortunately, my lie is #2. I had colleagues attest to what happened in writing, and I could have / should have pursued this matter, but I was too intimidated and afraid of losing my job. This was in the year 2000. I didn't know then what I know now.

1, 3 and 4 are true.

After the harassment he even showed up at my house late on a Saturday night, while I was off work on medical leave. I was recovering from surgery. He said he wanted to know how I was and he wanted to come in for a drink. His shag-mobile was outside. The whole thing was so wrong.

Note to other people facing harassment: Please don't be intimidated. I was very wrong not to report him.

1. I'm getting a new roof on my house today.

2. I'm currently reading a biography of Anne Brontë.

3. I found a MASSIVE insect in my house today. (I won't name it because of people's triggers).

#1....but it will be soon.

2 and 3 are true.

1. I was lectured about the evils of gambling by Tony Randall.

2. I was told to be patient by Ed Koch.

3. I was given a sincere handshake by Abe Beame.

1 and 3 sound familiar.

I think 2?

Yep. It’s #2. I was near Ed Koch once—but didn’t approach him. He was NYC mayor in the late 70s to late 80s. He succeeded Abe Beame.

1. I'll be listening to Sgt. Pepper next week.

2. I will be going to a waterslide park next week.

3. I will be buying new sundresses next week.

Abe Beame was 5 foot 3; Koch was 6 foot 1.

You're right again! I used to enjoy waterslides but haven't been in ... decades? It would be fun to go again on a non-sunny day if they weren't so crowded!
