I'm going to go for 3 being a lie, dyadiccounterpoint.

1 I am currently wearing a pink shirt with KT on the back

2 The last character I beat Akinator with (at the time of writing this) was Phoebe Bamford/Sparrow

3 I am going on a writing retreat in England in August

(I purposefully chose things which could be true even if you've read all my posts)

No 1 is the lie as even though your top may be pink ( have a certain badge on the front ) it would not say KT , it would have his full surname and possibly a number 5

Damn you're actually right...

Except it's a number 63.

Damn! I didn't know the number so googled KT and the first picture was with a No.5 ( I now realise that was his contract years not his number  )

1. My maternal grandmother had an exceptionally beautiful wardrobe, including some pieces which I kept after she passed.

2. My paternal grandmother had a pilot's licence and small jet.

3. My paternal grandmother introduced me to Simon and Garfunkel's music.

Is 3 false? :chin:

My maternal grandfather served in Veitnam and Korea

My paternal grandfather sailed from Hawaii to the Philippines by himself and has a boat displayed in a museum.

My maternal stepgrandmother lived in Japan when my maternal grandfather was stationed there.

For Sweet Isabella: #2. He might had a pilot's license---but he had a propeller plane, rather than a jet.

For Twizty: #1. He probably served in World War II and Korea.

No, 2 is false. I'm laughing just picturing my grandmother flying a plane. :P

1 and 3 are true. I didn't realise she had started me on S&G until recently. I just knew that I fell in love with their music when I lived next to her as a young child. I finally learned the story at Christmas last year.

TW1Z,
Your lie is ... 1 I believe. I've heard you mention Japan and Hawaii before.

Nope it's number 3. 1 and 2 are true. :) My stepgrandmother did live in Japan at one point, but not with my grandfather. It was with her first husband. :)

1. My grandfather signed up for the World War I draft.

2. My father signed up for the Korea draft, and was sent to Korea

3. My brother just missed having to sign up for the Vietnam draft.

#2. My father was all set to go to Korea with his unit----but before they could leave, the armistice was signed (note: the Korea War never officially "ended.")

I'm thinking #1 for TWIZ

1. My Great Uncle was a ragtime/jazz composer

2. He sold one of his compositions for $100,000 in 1919

3. He fought in World War One

My lie is 3. Neither grandfather was in WW2 although they were the right age bracket (born in the 1910s).

Kortie's lie is 3. I heard his music and really liked it.

TW1Z your lie is 1.

That's right. #3. I'm not sure if he even registered for the draft (I don't believe he was required to). But I know my grandfather did. My great-uncle was 10 years older than my grandfather.

My grandfather would have been eligible to be drafted into World War II for a brief time in 1944. He was 44 years old at the time.
