Assuming this happened today, 3 is plausible.
So #1 and it was someone other than your SIL.

Fortunately, the answer is #3. We found her! Some guy called us, and told us where she is.

I would say #1 is your lie. You probably have good, detailed memories—empirical-worldly as well as sensual-solipsistic.

#1 is true. Almost everything I recall involves an involuntary sensory flashback, but I can't relate many details.
#2 is true.
#3 is a lie. There's a period of time in the 2000's that I've repressed, but I was older than 25.

My mother seems to have repressed some of her memories.

1. I have a great uncle who sold a song for $100,000.

2. I have a third cousin who was a famous painter.

3. I have no first cousins.

Nope. Both my parents are only children.

That's interesting! I have many, many first cousins (mostly on mom's side) and some of them I've never even met.

Was the song / art any good?

My third cousin achieved some notice in the art world—though no “fame” outside of it.

My Great Uncle Max did sell a song for $100,000 in 1919. My father hardly mentions him. He passed away when I was about 3 months old.
