Five times?

1) Split my lip on the school bus after going over a huge bump.
2) Broken finger.
3) Got hit by a car while riding my bike.
4) Crushed finger (different one).
5) A very dirty ER in Macon, GA while traveling with a horrible strep throat.

Have you ever seen the Nutcracker ballet performed live?

So odd you say that! I was recalling today a time I took my parents to see The Nutcracker for my mother's 50th birthday. I was thinking how much my father must have hated it (that wasn't his type of thing to do, whatsoever!)

Also did I tell you I got hit and run down by a bike-a-thon? (spaced out and crossing a laneway alone, about age 7?)

Question: Multiple choice or short answer?

Multiple choice every time because you can give a good guess on those. The only reason I got a pass in Science for School Cert was multi choice. I hadn't done any of the work. Big fat cheater thats me!

:P You're so funny feels!

I'm better at (short??) answer as you can tell! I can't do double negatives on multiple choice and then I panic about what patterns to draw with my dots.

thai or italian?

Both but I eat more Italian food than Thai.

I've always hated going to the doctor, still do. Same for dentist, although I found it easier when I was a kid. Been to ER for broken nose and possible concussion after a bike accident

same q

Thai! Mmmmmm....spicy. I like very spicy food. When I order "very spicy" meals at restaurants, only once was the dish too spicy for me:

Years ago a friend and I went to a Sri Lankan "Curry House" that's long since gone. You could order the food from "mild" to very spicy. We didn't know that there really was no mild. In reality, the range was from spicy to nuclear. I ordered my dish very spicy and the waitress all but forbid it. So I ordered it a level below.

My food tasted so good but it was so out of my league that I could only take about three bites in a row before stopping to endure the pain. It would subside ever so slightly and I would resume my three bite process. It was a very expensive place and I was on a limited budget so I was determined not to let it go to waste.

After the meal I was in a terrible state for about about 30 minutes and I was getting concerned. Thankfully, the pain subsided and all was well.

Have you ever been seasick?

I'm the same as you, Magna! I think my taste buds are hyposensitive and I love / am able to eat extremely spicy food!

I also order everything nuclear. I think there was only one time I overestimated my spice tolerance!

I was practically raised on boats (cabin cruisers which my dad and his father built). I went to our boat directly from the hospital for two weeks when I was born. Boating is in my blood. That being said, my father and I chartered a deep sea fishing boat in Florida in 1981. Between the bright sunlight, the strong Atlantic waves and my sunburn (which was also atrocious, causing a form of heat stroke), I had seasickness. It was indescribably horrendous. I still remember the despair. I can't imagine what it was like for emigrants travelling months at a time in cramped conditions. I would have died.

I really can’t take too much spicy foods at all. Mild curry is my limit.

Same question.

Italian food for me, but Asian food is quickly becoming a favorite cuisine for me.

I don't get seasick, but I used to get dreadfully carsick.

I don't like pineapple on my pizza.

Short answer for me on tests.

For those of you who like the Olympic Games, what host city (past or to come) would you like to visit? Mine is Tokyo (1964 and 2020).

I'd like to see the Olympics somewhere in Eastern Europe like Prague or Budapest.

I would in theory, like to revisit Barcelona. I took a trip to Spain with my wife in 2002 if I recall correctly. It was the trip of a lifetime. I say "in theory", because I've grown to dislike air travel immensely.

Did you ever have braces (dental)?

Nope. I actually have really good teeth.

Same question.

No braces. Also good teeth.

Do you have any tattoos? If so, what? Where? If not, have you ever considered getting one?

I don't have any tattoos but I'd like to get one someday.

I'm thinking I'd like a small picture of a nude woman with an angel wing and devil wing on either my upper arm or on my chest.
