Texas weather is a bit too much for me. But I will say,Texans are like anyone else, anyone who would call them naturally ignorant is showing off their ignorance.

I do actually have evidence that the IQ of the average Texan is lower than the American average (about 90, I think), therefore explaining why they tend to support Bush.

I have an equal amount of evidence that the average Limey is dumber than a box of rocks. I just read RobertN's posts!! !

So who exactly are "our" servicemen and women? I'll stick my neck out here and say that I'm not American, and I thought that this was supposed to be an AS site, not a US site. Thankfully I'm from one of the coalition-of-the-willing countries though, which means that I'm one of those GOOD aspies who will continue to be welcome here...hopefully...

...Oh - and as for the issue of God blessing anybody, it's a mute point. God would have to exist to do that.

Jason Alexander is a peace activist against war in the middle east. Why are you using his picture as your avatar in your posts?

Instead of writing such a bitter reply, why didn't you just say something about the Austrailian troops? I don't recall anyone saying only Americans can post about soldiers from their country. You also don't have to say God bless the troops. How about posting a message hoping that they get home safely? In other words, you should try replacing some of your anger with a little common sense.

That's actually James R. Gandolfini which he currently plays Tony Soprano in the Sopranos which I use to watch when I had HBO.

Because my reply had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Australian troops were involved in the conflict, and I was not upset that they were not getting due credit. In fact it had nothing to do with how I feel about the war at all. It just came down to the use of the word "our" as if to exclude and alienate anyone who, whether personally or by sheer dent of their nationality, is not in favour of the US and its objectives. And no, I am not an habitual yank-basher, I do believe that the majority of them are decent people. But how is a Canadian, New Zealander, Argentinian, German, Indian, Irelander, South African, Swede, Chilean, or someone from the other 131 countries that did not support this conflict, supposed to feel when they turn to WP for support and guidance, only to find this kind of ideology creeping in? Ah now, you see, it's not about me, nor about Australia!

For the record, this is not what I believe Jaguars_Fan intended to do. I think his heart was in the right place in starting the thread and while his response also missed the point, I was impressed by his calm and consideration. Granted, Sorce, it's not my strong suit, but double-check the last sentence of your post and try telling me that it wasn't the height of hypocrisy. It was just as angry a response, if not more.
