Sorry, but you'd be stuck with "Sasha" with me. I prefer this Russian form of the name. Somehow it appeals to me that the same shortening gets used for both males and females plus it simply sounds nice to me.

Mine is Melanie, by the way. Named after the Melanie in "Gone with the Wind", whose main role aparently was to console others and to die at a convenient moment... (Never seen the movie though, I'm relying entirely on my mother's explanation of how I got my name.)
