When it comes to Aspies, astrology is... Still bulls**t.

Back in the mid 1970's, my father, the very typical and practical Capricorn and also (unknown to any of us at the time) an Aspie, got sick and tired of hearing the women in his work place gossiping about their horoscopes and decided to study up on the topic so that he could explain to them why it was all a bunch of nonsense.

He did, in essence, disprove it when he discovered that all the signs were no longer where they were in the skies when Astrology was first created, but he also discovered that there was a surprising amount of accuracy when comparing peoples personalities to those dictated by their charts. He got to the stage where he could walk into a room, watch the people there and know what their sun/moon and ascendant were with surprising accuracy. By then it had become an obsession for him so I grew up it and am farely accurate, at least on the sun signs, myself.

So he disproved astrology and then found it works?

Another Virgo here. Virgo/Dragon, actually.

"They can't stand any kind of disorder, and will spend alot of time cleaning, rearranging, and making mental lists of items they have. They are highly critical..of themselves and others, which can upset friends of a Virgo dragon. Although Virgo Dragons are hard at making friends-they arent very trusting, and have a very hard time sharing their feelings with others. These dragons are very introverted and tend to shrink away from making friends or having relationships, prefering to slink under the sand dunes that are their normal home. They fear negative judgement from other dragons and expect it. This makes them seem emotionless or even cold to outsiders. "

That's interesting, Xuxa. Never thought to combine Chinese and western signs. That makes me a Virgo/Sheep. Apparently perfectionist, highly critical, and intellectual.

I never gave much notice to any sort of astrology until my mother came home one day with a copy of The New Astrology by Suzanne White. I read the section on the Virgo/Dragon and it was like she'd been stalking me and writing everything she saw!

My Zodiac sign is apparently the Capricorn. I do not really believe in Astrology at all, contending with my Grandmother's beliefs.

One of the best ways to learn Astrology is to actually try disproving it. Like TheDebbil's dad, I too tried very hard to fight off the stunningly accurate descriptions of my Sun, Moon, Ascendant.
The Soul could not keep up with the lies any more.

Astrology has been proven to be true mathematically by the great Carl Payne Tobey.
Tobey took the accepted probability norms for a scientific hypothesis to be accepted as likely to be true: 9/10 cases in repeated sets.
He then statistically analyzed many extreme cases astrologically.
I wlll give a few examples:
1) More than 90% of all German Spies caught in the USA were Sagittarius Suns.
2) More than 90% of all women who had Mars squared North Lunar Node had surgery in their reproductive region prior to age 45.
3) More than 95% of all days where The Sun was squared by the Lunar Node [called Moon Wobble] produced accidents in USA where life was lost.
4) 100% of cases where Mars conjunct Natal Sun [this happens every 2 years] produced extra business for an entrepreneur unexpectedly.
And there are many more, like the injuries to an Aries Sun's head etc.

Even Capricorn disbelief in Astrology is extremely predictable. If a Capricorn instantly accepted Astrology, he better check if he was adopted :)
[ Unless his chart has too many planets in Pisces.. ]

Judging anything as b**lshit is a typical left brained NT reaction. I hear this from Orthodox Semitic Religions all the time, surprised to hear this from the more Neurodivergent folk who should be tired by now of judgementalism.

One of the leading exponents of Neurodivergent Astrological research is Raymond Andrews. He has Virgo Ascendant and Neptune squared Moon in Pisces exact and has successfully overcome childhood challenges by developing the astrologically strong planets/aspects.

Astrology helps anyone focus on his/her strengths by identifying them.

The "Know Yourself" advice by the Oracle of Delphi actually was a call for all individuals to learn their Natal Chart.

I have got just one request so far for a free snapshot reading, I expected 500 by now.
He/She who hesitates is.... a skeptic :)
Skeptics are also welcome.

Cheers!

Ha. I proved the value of it to myself by learning to create and read charts. I thought it was a fascinating subject and wanted to give it a fair shake, and I learn best by getting into a subject on a practical level.

I've looked at too many charts that have revealed a person so thoroughly that I cannot discount it.

I've no problem with people who choose to disbelieve it. I'd just rather they based that disbelief on a full and thorough investigation into the art, rather than reading a few newspaper horoscopes, or listening to someone else tell them it's all rubbish.

Exactly. He discovered the same thing that's been floating around the net recently about the current positions of the planets in relation to the constellations through-out the year. He also found that it made absolutely no difference where Aries really is in the sky if you're born late March, you are still now and always will be an Aries.

He wasn't at all interested in it as a method for "predicting future events", but found it a fascinating tool for understanding how people work, as an aspie, I think this was invaluable to him. From complete scepticisms he found a hobby that kept him entertained for years. Even now, at 81, he likes to do charts for the lady friends he goes ballroom dancing with. :)

Whenever he tells me about someone he's met he always opens with, "I met this lovely Pisces/Sag/Virgo...". :D

I can't say I'm a huge believer or follower, but I absolutely see similarities between people of the same sign and can quite accurately guess someone sun sign and occasionally their ascendant. It's fun, harmless and i do not understand why people get so angry about it. :)

I haven't read through this whole thread, so apologies if this is repeating something already said:

aspergerian traits are most similar to the sign of Aquarius (hence my user ID), the zodical age which, as eveyone knows, we are currently moving into. The recent wikileaks/julian assange business is an example of this shift from piscean secrecy to aquarian transprency (JA is almost certainly on the spectrum).

here's a list of comparative traits of Pisces and Aquarius, called "Beware the Aquarian Age":

Textbook Gemini here also. I find the "daily" horoscopes leave too much room for interpretation unless one is familiar with ALL aspects of their chart, not merely one sign over another (sun vs. moon, etc). My hobby (read: obsession) is natal charts. In doing them I have found nearly all are accurate and people are continually surprised that I can "read" them so well from a few personal details like the city where they were born, date and time...

My sun is Gemini, but I'm a Capricorn ascendant. I exhibit traits of both. Cap is my "mask" that the world sees, but at the end of the day, I am still a classic twin. Mercurial, logical, and communicative, albeit mostly in writing as opposed to verbal communication.

hahahahahaha, is it bad that I am looking forward to this age??? *chuckle* While there were a couple things I saw that gave me a pause, for the most part I can't think of much bad about this new 'age'.

Hi VerbalOrchid,
Depending on your Capricorn Ascendant, the Pluto Transit is going to be very important. Pluto conjuncting your Ascendant after completing its 12th House Transit is one of the most transformational experiences possible in one lifeline.
