Oh yes, I developed two very strong hobbies when I was around 6-8 I believe. I really cannot explain why I formed such attachments to the objects but whether the reasons were I could not resist having more and more. I do not do much with my collections, I just like to look at them once in awhile. Like it is a vault in a huge bank. No one is allowed to take a peek.
One hobby I had to abandon since my hands grew a bit due to my growth spurt during my teenage years and my motor skills were below average.
The other hobby I abandoned for a year and two, and then sold almost the entire collection. Then I reverted back to augmenting the collection while blowing some $$$ (I think I know the source of the issue). However, I have taken control of my spending habits and I much more stingy then I use to be. Sometimes I sell parts of the collection that have gained some monetary value (though in this economy, most of the items values dropped dramatically). Still from time to time I will add pieces to the collection, however not go overboard and buy very expensive ones.
