I watched one of the old specials on advice from a friend.

Didn't really care for it.

Old specials? Like how old?

People are still confusing this:

Judging FiM on the old series is like forming your opinons of the Mac based on Apple I. They come from the same place and have the same name, but they are completey different.

I think it's amazing and challenges certain cultural stereotypes..
The show is well made, balanced and reminds me of Power Puff's, kind of nostalgia if you ask.
As someone said I've learned a thing or two about friendship ;) Which I couldn't say about anything else on telly or RL.
And I didn't just joined the parade I've got my own relationship with the show.

*sulks*
I watched 17 episodes of awesomeness before it was taken off of the youtube channel I was watching it on :( Stinkin' Hasbro making them take it off, I don't want to watch it on Treehouse DX
Does anybody know where I can find other episodes, perferably not scattered all over the place?

I'm too scared to indulge my curiosity about it. I'm scared....scared......of what it might do to my brain!

Whoa, I just saw this thread. I've just been posting in the other thread in the tv, film, and video section. I watch cartoons a lot, but MLP:FiM is definitely among the top of my favorite cartoons, even among my favorite shows in general.

I got two of my friends and my sister watching it now lol.

to ebec11: You could perhaps download them.

I left the Minecraft Forums because the General Off Topic was dominated by 'brony' threads. And yes I've seen it. It really wasn't as amazing as everyone said it was.

I can empathize. I got a few friends into it, it's not a bad show by any means, but I just don't see the advantage of it compared to most other kids shows. Again, not a bad show, and if I watched TV, and if it happened to be on, I'd probably watch if it didn't interrupt like...Top Gear.

My personal theory is that what happened was, MLP was a bandwagon thing. It gives guys who otherwise don't have an outlet into girliness and sensitivity and all that fun stuff an outlet that they are seeking. So, what I believe happened was, a small small number of guys watched the show and liked it, and then they had the balls enough to tell other people they did (commendable in itself) and then other people who also had no outlet for girliness watched it after those guys told others, then they told others, thus the "Bronies" were created.

One POSSIBLE exception to this rule, I read an article about a guy with Aspergers in his 30s who watches the show, and he said it taught him more about social rules than anything else in his life. So, I think the "brony" thing overall is a good thing for those reasons, despite it being sorta annoying, it gives guys who would otherwise not have an outlet for anything girly an outlet, and helps people with Aspergers learn social skills.

Me personally, I don't think I really need many more outlets for girliness. I listen to girly eurobeat and eurodance all the time and I figure skate. Oh, and happy hardcore. Can't forget happy hardcore.

I listen to stuff like that probably....70% of the time?

I wish to do this, too.

But, hey, whatever makes people happy I guess. But that's my opinion on it.
