From the TV appearances I saw Amy appeared to be quite a likeable character, so I was dissappointed to hear about this. She had a good voice too. And as her death is currently unexplained I think it's too soon to be jumping to conclusions:(

No idea were you are from, but we have a 'newspaper' here called the Daily Mail. Yesterday it had a story in its online edition which said she died of too much drink - might have choked on her own vomit - might have been dead for up to eight hours - rigor had set in - bad role model to young girls and so on. Utterly hateful stuff from an utterly vile publication.

There are lots of things to be proud of in England, but our tabloid newspapers would not be one of them.

This is sad :(

Amy was an extremely talented singer who never managed to realise her full potential. It really does make me think that there's a correlation between extreme genius and self-destructive behaviour. Almost as if geniuses don't know how to live with their talents.

Sad, sad, sad.

just saw the news video of her show in serbia... where she ultimately ended up having to cancel future dates. The last seven days of her life were probably the worst seven days of her life. this is so so sad:(

You're probably right. It would have been nice if our more rabid 'newspapers' had given the family 24 hours to grieve before piling in. But, as the world now knows, our most popular/biggest selling papers are too often owned and run by utter &$($".
