Aaaww, Marie's so cute, Sparx!
She looks very soft.
Also, I love your Wreck-It Ralph avatar.
A couple days after the New Year, I decided to do a "Best Plush of 2012" photo:
In the top row, there's Ralph from Wreck-It Ralph, Jeremy from The Secret of NIMH, and Fix-It Felix Jr. I got my Ralph plushie before the movie even came out, so I wasn't sure if when he came that he would be a plushie I was especially drawn to, but I LOVE him!! He's one of my favorite plushies now! When I finally saw WIR, I just wanted to give Ralph a big hug and never let him go, so I kinda do that with my Ralph plushie now.
Now, with Jeremy - I've been searching for a plushie of Jeremy for literally years.....looking on Ebay, bidding on auctions and losing, and this Jeremy I won right before Christmas!
I was so excited! He's in great condition, and is really soft and has lots of personality. Also, he didn't come with that pink scarf - I gave it to him cuz he was in the mailbox when my folks and I got home from my grandparents', and I wanted to warm him up.
I got Fix-It Felix Jr. after seeing WIR - it's really cool cuz I picked him up from the post office on the way to one of my classes, took him out of his box, and he kinda stowed away in my backpack.
Just knowing he was there during the afternoon helped me feel less anxious being around authority figures and just other people in general.
Next row: Bert and Lisa from The Raccoons, Hobbes, and 2012 Disney Store Randall. Bert and Lisa came from a Canadian website that sold vintage plush and toys from the 70's, 80's, and 90's, and I bought the two of them together. Whenever we travel, they always have to travel together.
The "Hobbes" tiger came from Target a couple months ago - I saw him in the plush section of Target's toy aisle, and immediately thought, "Oh my goodness, he looks just like HOBBES!" I always wanted a Hobbes plushie when I was little, but could never find one, since the creator of Calvin and Hobbes never gave his permission for his characters to be licensed and merchandised and whatnot (don't get me wrong, I admire him for fighting all that so hard). I found Randall at the Disney Store back in November, when they were promoting Monsters Inc in 3D. Randall is my favorite Monsters Inc character, and I was SO excited to see an official Disney Store plushie of him!! (They also had plushies of Roz, and I got one for my mom for Christmas, since she likes Roz.)
In the front row are Susie the Little Blue Coupe, Vanellope von Schweetz (also from Wreck-It Ralph), and Truffles, a Blue Nose Friends pig. Susie was made by a Japanese company named Tomy-Takara, and is part of their "Disney's 110th Anniversary" plush line. She's also one of my favorite Disney characters, so I was really happy to find her.
I also really identified with Vanellope a lot, so I bought a plushie of her cuz she's so cute and huggable in the movie.
Truffles I bought at a Barnes and Noble, and he (along with my dolphin, Dory) is one of my little "friends" who tags along with me in my shoulder bag everywhere I go.
