The correct plural of octopus is octopuses (it's Greek, not Latin).

You can't visit the grave of Jacob Waltz, who was probably the Dutchman of the Lost Dutchman Gold Mine Fame. Oddly enough he died after getting caught in a flooded creek. Probably pnemonia. His tombstone was wood, and the cemetary he was buried got flooded and all the tombstones came loose. Nobody remembered which grave was his, and they guessed at the placement.

Rather than being a hero after the shoot-out near the OK Corral, Wyatt Earp was considered a murderer, and left Tombstone for fear of being hung. He went to California, and re-told the story so often, he ended up being the hero in all the movies made about the incident. He's buried in a Jewish Cemetary. He wasn't Jewish, but his last common-law wife was.

In my town, there's a flea market that goes by the name of S.T.D. I'm pretty sure they dont' sell S.T.D.'s though. Talk about false advertising o.o

The chemical symbol for mercury (Hg) comes from Latinized Greek (in essential, a hybrid of the two languages) meaning "liquid silver".

Happy Birthday.

It is now T-minus 10 days until that most holy of days, the Anniversary of the Birth of Werbert the Great.
