I am ambi and may or may not have AS. I've been diagnosed ADHD, but I don't think I really have it.

It's a funny thing though, because when I play sports it's hard to pick a side. lol! Lefties and righties have it easy. At least they don't have to think about things like that.

my mom has add.
my mom and dad are both right handed
my brother is not diagnosed with anything. The only he would not be considered nt is that he is gifted.

If you want a poll to see if there are more aspies that are lefted handed than right handed then ask THAT.

As has been stated before, your poll just asks how many people on here are nt compared to aspie.

I don't think you've read my post..or understood my explanation..

BUT I guess I might make a poll.... IS THERE A RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ASPIE AND NEGATIVE THINKERS?

Alexender you are going to vote Yes? or still the negative approach...

I've recovered from these attitude Alexender...Here's a TIP....just think about your actions...if you find it silly why are you responding or posting here anyway?...and stress yourself with it?....just leave it silly.... :D

you have a good suggestion...a good thought...start with it...in another poll of your own...

Just like reading a newspaper...If you don't like the headline...why bother reading the whole news?

PEACE...let's move on... :D

I'm not here to argue....I'm here to find answers to MY QUESTIONS...

Sorry, reading back on my post it sounded a lot stronger than I meant it to.

I did read what you said, but I just don't understand how your question would find out anything.

No probs...Maybe it's just your aspie trait to throw BIG words unintentionally...or rather you don't mean it that way at the back of your head... :D

And maybe it's my Aspie trait to be "overly sensitive"...reading between the lines...even if this is just a website forum?

Isn't it conflicting that experts define both of this Aspie traits?being lack of empathy and overly sensitive? HUH... doesn't everybody have one of which, aspie or not? :D :D :D

On the other hand...I think our world would never have achieved this much in science and technology IF NOT FOR THE SILLY QUESTIONS...

SILLY question are silly at a time when the question is NOT YET PROVEN...

In the Biblical time...they always thought that the world is flat...the center of the universe is earth...to question otherwise is silly....

When plane haven't been invented....I believe it was silly for people to think that a solid metal would be able to fly ...airplanes...

When I was a in high school...I've thought about money...What is money? it's just paper...we value it for the amount inprinted on it...THE NUMBERS... I told my girlfriend...I believe one day... nobody is going to print or develop money...its just the numbers that we are looking at..just the figures...MY girlfriend thought I was silly? Why would be thinking that? what's my point? :D

NOW...I believe my thoughts are getting there...it's becoming a fact...almost...I think in USA and other highly developed countries now people don't carry cash more often than they carry credit cards....in Japan...their monetary figures (bank accounts) information are stored in their cellphones...they can pay just by their cellphone...no need for cash...

Again...SILLY question or thoughts are silly at a time when the question is NOT YET PROVEN...

Cheers :D

Another one...we have always been taught that the universe has an infinite space...sometimes I think maybe there is...we just haven't reach the limits of the outer space... :D

I'm so excited at times about my son being left-handed...or aspie... great people were aspies.. experts perceived them to see and live in a world differently...they think out of the box...I'm excited to stir curiosity to my son..my curiosity in this world which I would like to share to my son someday...and take advantage of or utilize his Aspie FOCUS... maybe he'd make great things someday.... :D

I think it has been fairly well established that lack of empathy is a myth for those on the spectrum. We may have trouble showing our feelings and expressing ourselves but it doesn't mean we lack empathy. I'm speaking for myself here. I'm guilty of being oversensitive too and it's okay. I think your query is an interesting one and has been on my mind a lot just recently.

YES I believe in that...I believe it is really the link between the brain and muscles....it is like our brain recognizes and gets the messages or the perceptions or the inputs exactly, normally and maybe sometimes more than the normal perception..BUT the delivery of this messages to our muscles to become actions or output is a faulty that our reaction is delayed and sometimes we don't "ACTUALLY" react BUT in my mind we thought we did...

Just recently I met a colleague when I was in a hurry to go to our project site...(we work in different projects)... He called my name...He smiled at me...In my mind I think a smiled back at him....BUT WHEN I WAS INSIDE THE CAR...I wasn't really sure...Maybe I didn't ACTUALLY smiled back to my friend...just in my thoughts I was..

Oh and back to the lefties....I just had conversation with a left-handed colleague of mine... I did not inquire about his left-handedness...I just shared to him about my son, about my son's day at school...How hard it is to let my son do what he don't want to do...I mean instructions that he would rather NOT do...especially writing.... well I just implied that my son is left-handed....AND my left-handed colleague said...OH it is really hard to get him to do especially if he is NOT in the mood...He said he was also like that when he was a kid....he would rather cry than do what he don't want..even just simple things...and his son is also like that...his other son is also left-handed...it is hard to persuade us with you know the "give and take" persaution tactics...it will NOT work...He said we just don't break our own likes and dislikes because of being persuation...NO...and he said his other son who is right-handed can easily understand the request or instruction and can be persuaded to change his mind...and he said...He and like his left-handed son cannot..or is NOT easy to change their mind about something...BUT, he added, if we are interested in something; you cannot easily stop us doing this interest also (he is implying intense focus).

My left-handed colleague is implying that his own experience as a left-handed and some other left-handed he knows, including his own left-handed son, have a commonality in the way their mind works... So much like how my left-handed son behaves...

I believe...the commonality of behaviors of most left-handed people are basically the aspie-like bahaviors...which are uncommon to most right-handed people...and on the other hand...the behaviors of most right-handed people is uncommon to most left-handed people...

at least now I understand... And me and my wife are working it out to deal with our son knowing his potentials both weakness/strengths...to make it work for him...And I think he is doing fine now since we got him his eyeglasses...he's NOT crying most of the time now at school...probably it was because he was irritated in a lot of things because of his eyesight...

Now my wife and son were studying and my son was NOT cooperating because he was asked to write a paragraph...I guess my son don't want this because he is having a hard time writing...a paragraph is already long for him...

So I told my wife to tell our son..that making a paragraph or a story is like drawing pictures (our son loves drawing)...the difference is that you will have to use letters or words to draw a picture of the story you want tell...So I told my wife..to let our son draw a picture in his mind first of the story...then use letters, words and sentences to tell the the picture in his mind...I guess our son GOT the idea...and he liked the idea...drawing using words...

If we have known already that left-handed traits are suppose to be like my son...we would have adjusted to make it work for him long ago...BUT at least now we know...that lefties are lefties, it is NOT JUST ABOUT HANDWRITING or THE STRONGER LEFT-HAND THAT IS DIFFERENT ABOUT THEM FROM THE RIGHT-HANDED...IT IS THEIR CHARACTER AS WELL THAT IS DIFFERENT FROM MOST RIGHT-HANDED AND WE CANNOT EXPECT THEM TO BEHAVE IN THE SAME WAY WITH MOST RIGHT-HANDED... :D

I'm left handed.

It doesn't mean a damn thing to me other than which hand I write and shoot with.
