Does that mean that this thread is pointless or something?

One of my cats does act like a neurotypical human.

All he wants to do is be in physical contact with another human or cat, 24 hours a day, and he more or less is, due to his wilfullness. He does everything possible to get his way. If no one is paying attention to him, he'll start destroying things while looking at you to judge your annoyance and whether he needs to escalate or not. He never destroys anything when he's home by himself (no point). If he can't get to sit on a human, he'll go and sit on top of the other male cat (the female cat won't let him near). The other cat used to resist, but has been bullied into submission, and just allows himself to be squished now.

He has no respect for privacy. No space is safe. If you're going to the bathroom, he wants to come in and lick your legs while you're sitting on the john. Curiously enough, he doesn't do this when you're just wearing shorts. Only in the bathroom. Actually there is one refuge from him, you're safe in the shower. But if you're taking a bath, he has to drink the water.

He also humps everything in sight. Every pillow, stuffed animal, blanket, or other similar object in the house has been violated. And yes, he's fixed.

If either of the other cats is getting attention, he comes running. Every time. He can be summoned by calling the name of either of the other two cats. He's the only one that shows up, actually. If he's doing something bad, we often trick him this way so we don't have to get up and stop him.

He is obsessed with dominating every living in the creature in the house, including and especially guests. He has to eat first before the other cats, he has to be supervised while he's eating so he doesn't bully his way into stealing their food, and it's the same with catnip. Actually he has to be supervised all the time, when anyone is home. He makes sure of it.

He has absolutely no interest at all in chasing things or playing with strings or sitting in sunny spots or any of the things the other cats enjoy doing.

Needless to say, it isn't possible for humans to have intimate relations when he's awake. He gets up on the bed and caterwauls, or attempts to lick feet. It's not possible to keep any doors closed either.

your cat sounds very funny - and a handful. i know what it's like to have a goofy, dominating cat living in your house. my arms used to be chronically covered with scratchs. but he has a personality and he knows what he wants and life with him are never boring. look on the bright side.

I think that making the blanket statement that "All cats have ASD" is an over personification of animals.

I tend to understand and read animals better than I do people because animal behavior isn't as complex and layered. Does that mean I'm a cat?
