Just saying. -- Are there reports about a hedgehog attackin man? Anywhere in the world?

I'm not sure what hedgehog attacks have to do with bellybuttons, but anyway...?

Probably not, but back in the UK my dog used to try to attack hedgehogs. We had to pick the spines out of his mouth. He never learned.

Dogs don't. Neither do the cats. Mine jumps after any two-winged creature that can enter the rooms. Then you hear a crash. The cat disappears. After 2-3 hours the same repeats.

My cat is a terror. I regularly have to clean up the remains. I tried putting a collar with a bell on it, but that only lasted a day.

When mine was operated 6 years ago, the vet recommended a collar.

No. When I saw it I decided not to. Not that thing.

I can't comment on cats, but I don't want to bury this thread in the counting flood to come. I'd feel bad about that.
