For the Vernal Equinox:

For winter's rains and ruins are over,
And all the seasons of snows and sins;
The days dividing lover and lover,
The light that loses, the night that wins;
And time remembered is grief forgotten,
And frosts are slain and flowers begotten,
And in green underwood and cover
Blossom by blossom the spring begins.

— Algernon Charles Swinburne, "Atalanta in Calydon"

Well today's the first day of spring and I'm actually surprised that today is nearly passing for spring around here. It was sunny and no snow, and much of the snow on the ground is gone. But it wasn't warm. The air has that "bite" to it, which it often does when it's sunny and early spring. I really don't like it, I refer it mild and overcast. But it would have been a lot colder if there was any wind today.

I read yesterday we're supposed to be getting a HUGE storm tomorrow. I really hope not, or I won't be able to go out for lunch with my mom. :(

Snow, lol. Where I live we always have 3 or so weeks of nice "spring weather" to convince us it's come, and then one last really nasty snowstorm in the middle of spring to ruin it. It's usually the nastiest of the year, it's a light snow that melts in less than a day, but the body has adjusted to spring weather so a really cold nasty snow has the perception of being 20 degrees colder than it actually is.
