Do you think she has the cojones to say it directly? You obviously don't get subtlety, Bazza. Subtle attacks appear to be fine, but both the sender and the recipient know what the purpose is, as do those with the powers of perception.

I agree. There is subtle bullying that often goes on here. It's designed to hurt the person being bullied but not obviously enough to get the bully into trouble i.e. banned. A spade isn't called a spade but a soil aeration implement....the attack is disguised either as a joke or a general statement, but the effect is just as bad on the person being bullied. I know, it's happened to me here, and still does.

I thought all this had finished btw, this fighting stuff. I'm sorry I was wrong. People come here to have a break from the sometimes tough NT world...but they enter a war zone. Hardly surprising a lot of newbies don't stick around.

f**k off.

Why must someone understand 'the dynamics of the forum' and what exactly does that mean? That would be your interpretation of reality here would it?

I'm sick of seeing you telling people to f**k off. It was Calandale last week and now it's Kilroy.
F**k off yourself!! You're a bully yourself IMO.

I consider Bazza antedeluvian and opinionated, but that's as far as my opinion'd go.

I also have never told someone to "f*** off" (I have actually checked, though I've probably said "piss off" a few times, and said the equivalent of "go f*** yourself" in Latin a few times), but you have told Kilroy, calandale, and hale_bopp to f*** off.

Antediluvian :?

you calling me an old fart?

Bizarre told me this has nothing to do with Graelwyn and I believe her. I feel sorry for Graelwyn, I hope she doesn't see any of this. What about this word association :? Bizarre says crybaby, you all think Graelwyn. What if it was not meant for her at all?

If Calandale has a personal go at me, I will push back (nemo me impune laccesit). If Kilroy makes personal attacks on people, I will call him for it. He deserved it. You will get no apology from me, but I will tone down my language.

Quatermass, thanks for thinking no worse of me than just an opinionated old fart.

Once you tell me the context of this, I certainly will:

Rugby fan: I just like you because you are a bit different.
Hale Bop: OK, I will have your babies, so long as you prove your love by barracking for the Wallabies.

No, I actually searched your posts. Maybe you told me to piss off or sod off or something, but I was only focusing on that single word-pair expletive.

Hey, Bazza, ever had a classical education? Buccina fracta- exspecta signum digiti impudici.

I did 2 years of Latin (1971 - 1972). I was not good at it, so I got extra tutoring from a brother at a nearby catholic school.

I would have to look that up, but will have to wait - dinner time.

I should have gone sooner, but I was waiting to see if Starr  will reply to my PM.

ttfn.

OK, how about we hurl the following at each other in fustration. I can say "stipator stultus es optimatum!" (Tory sod) and you can hurl right back at me, "pedisequus parasiticus es popularium!" (liberal stooge). Howzat?

(BTW, the phrase above means 'horn broken, watch for finger'.)

Bazza, you are a devil who knows how to press my buttons!! We must stop this you know, it is so bad for my blood-pressure - you are very cruel to this old lady, lol.

I went OTT there, and I apologise for using bad language. In fact I apologise to everyone for using bad language. I can't complain about others using it if I use it myself. But let it stand that telling someone to f**k off is, in my opinion, is not an argument, it's an insult and when a discussion degrades into who can use the worst language, we are no longer in 'adult mode'.

Back to this thread...I hope no-one leaves, I wish I could help, please stop fighting. I'm going offline now, sometimes this place does my head in!

I'm curious what is your opinion on crybabies? What is it that motivates them to act so pathetic? Is it a cry for attention or sympathy? Is it because they have lost an angument and now have nothing else to fall back on? I just think they like people feeling sorry for them. Also me thinks they are trying to be manipulative.

I think you need to stop being a pathetic peripheral bully. There is indeed a subtle undercurrent of bullying that exists on this site and this topic is further proof. Way to kick someone while they're down, you should feel realll good.

It's a shame sarcasm is sometimes lost in those with AS.
