Yeah, multi-syllabic words cause confusion and brain-fever in NTs.

Yes, I think the English language must have been invented by an Aspie. We're the only ones who aren't afraid to use it properly.

I find that the people at my clubhouse like me, but the typical people in my life could care less.

I know social problems are the hallmark of AS, but does anyone find that they don't have a problem with that aspect? If so, do you have a particular quality that you think helps you; like being a musician, a comedian, an artist, etc. I would imagine that others would still flock to such talents, despite social differences.

Some people generally like me until I go for months and months without making any sort of contact. Then they get offended and don't understand why I am like that. I am trying really hard to get better at it and my true friends understand. It helps that they see me make an effort to call them more frequently which is really hard for me to do because of my phone phobia, so they know I really do care, I'm just not wired for social interaction.

Then again, there have been numerous times when someone just disliked me right off the bat. It's usually because I am very Daria-esque in person - monotone voice, not bubbly, withdrawn, detached, etc..
On the outside I look like a cheerleader - blonde hair, blue eyes, big lips, pretty skin, physically attractive (not trying to sound haughty or egotistical, so forgive me if I do). My personality doesn't match my exterior so people get confused and think I'm weird, and I am unapologetically weird I guess.

At the end of the day I have very few people in my life that I can call a friend. This isn't a bad thing, since I really can't keep up with that many people without getting overwhelmed. I have a lot of acquaintences, and I sure hope they like me, but not a lot of friends.

Yes, using is the right word. They know that we want to be loved and say this.

I get a lot of "people like" from people who really don't know me at all. it kind of makes me sick. I stick up for someone when I think it is right, and I become "OMGITSWILLOW!!!ONE"

but really, the fools don't know me at all.

I come across as a little too bitter and arrogant for most people to like me. But I don't know. The only way I could know for sure if people liked me was to outright ask them. I have no way of knowing how people feel about me. There have been times where I doubted my closest friends liked me at all and one of them told me she didn't feel that way. And the one I thought liked me apparently coudn't stand me and never wants to see me again.

In short, I don't think I'm qualified to answer this question.
