I have a stamp collection. Some of it was my grandads. He took it to school and the teacher confiscated it. When he had it back at the end of term, most of the early stamps he had were missing, like penny blacks etc, but quite a few stamps rhat remain (The majority of the stamps) are just as rare as we once had a German neighbour who dealt round the world in stamps getting very excited back around the late 1970's to very early 1980's when he saw one of the stamps. He said he could easily get several hundred pounds for it.
The guy passed away about 15 to 20 years ago.
