Ordered a few Christmas gifts this morning & then just got an eye exam and ordered new glasses - which if the frame colour is back ordered might take 1-3 months to arrive. All in: $1,237.00. 8O

I’ll definitely be keeping these ones for at least 6 years again lol maybe longer.. but in 2 years when I’m eligible for another $475 in optical coverage again I Might go get some cheaper ones just for fashion, or safety glasses, or water sports ones, or whatever.

I haven’t even been that good this year. But since I’ve been off work so long I now pay $280/mo in union dues and health & welfare benefits out of pocket so may as well get new glasses Now. (Which I will never wear at work for 1,237 obvious reasons.)

No; a professional.

That gave it away.. CAD $189.95 eh?

Where? :?

$208 list here, I think I paid $195.xx + tax at the one local chain store that sells them.

Don’t post a link and ruin the guessing game.

Bought this for myself today! :D (Anyone here even know what it is?)

Also ordered a roof rack for my car & some other stuff, but this thing is mildly more interesting to discuss. :p (Mostly because I doubt anyone here will even be able to identify what it is.)

What’re you buying for You this Christmas? With all this antisocial covid time & not spending money on gas or restaurants etc etc many of us have a few extra dollars to spend on whatever, soo why not spoil ourselves while shopping for everyone else?

I have found the company website but can't find the exact product

Is it some type of hardware used by blacksmiths or carpenters?

I believe we were promised another picture :chin:

Until then I shall think of it as a large decorative bobble for a hiking backpack.

Lol still not home. Took longer than expected at the eyeglass place and had to go back to a friends where I’m fixing the wall where his puppy chewed it up.. him and his boyfriend work long hours in film so instead of just patching it I’m also priming & painting it - which is about to happen in 15 mins, and then I’ll head home after - so another couple hours maybe until I’m home. Didn’t feel like burning gas going back and forth.

to answer the OP's sub clause question, a discounted bit of computer software for manipulating audio. won't even take a swag at what that object in the pic is other than it must be related to some kind of athletic pursuit.
