Intent . . . schmintent . . . as long as the alleged 'insult' is directed toward an act or attitude -- and not a person or group -- there is no violation of The Rules.

Science over time has been in the habit of sweepings findings under the carpet.

Not necessarily the norm, but the potential for that to happen must always be factored in any claim rather than be simply dismissed because it does not fit some paradigm a person has already projected is the fixed construction that is unable to be changed.

Given the fact that the person who inspired this thread was banned for various misbehaviors, I’m not sure why people are still seeking to defend him.
