I remember this kid at work said the word ret*d to somebody who did not like it and he clarified it
"I didn't mean it literally. I was not saying it like you have autism or something"
I guess it's just not understood
there is geniuses and what not. Then there is savants which are supposed to be ultra mega geniuses but if you look it up it usually says Autistic Savants not just savants
so, you become extra intelligent by being ... ret*d?

I have heard AS mentioned 2 or 3 times this semester which I have never witnessed before
one time was something like this
girl 1 "blah blah blah, I don't know if they're ret*d or I think they have like autism or like asperger's syndrome...my uncle has that"
girl 2 said "oh my god, like, what is that"
girl 1 "umm, it's like this weird thing because the nazi's put chemicals in the water during the war so like now a bunch of people have it"
girl 2 "I like your hair"
girl 1 "thanks, I'm hungry"

haven't been called that...
but have been called
ugly-by my sister
weird-by my other sister
paranoid-by a friend
mean- by someone

i don't mind as long as they don't say it to my face

Hmm...while nobodys ever called me ret*d, Im guessing a lot people thought I was through various times in my life particularly in elementary school. I was so quiet, I wouldnt say anything and Im not quite sure what people made of that. So I highly suspected people thought I was ret*d cause of the way they treated me. Now considering the fact im in a hard college and dorming proves should prove to any person, that I am not ret*d!

Its actuly quite simple... a quatim distortion that is equvlent to a nerological freqency could by theory blank out parts of the mind how ever contorling it and the fact it would kill practicly every living thing withing a mile radius from the activation point... could be a reason for not using it...

But that would be a bad idea because it could probably be consitered a WMD....

Still poeple who associate us with menatal retardation is falseifyed...

Only a word, people who get offended by such silliness are "ret*ds".

Only a word, but words are used to spread all the misconseptions about us, and that's why we don't always get treated fairly. I can't think of any reason an aspie would want to be called ret*d. I am not a stupid human or a defective machine.

ret*d is something pilots do when
they land planes i use to say. The
definition of ret*d is to stop or to
hinder something. For example:
""so you`ll be going to jail, guess
your life will be pretty retarted then""

So people making ret*d jokes are
not aware of the meaning of the word,
which makes them kinda dumb. Both
the people and the jokes. "You`re a
ret*d man" ..ok, that makes no sense,
read a book or something dumbass

I got called that loads of times among other things, did I get offended? Nope.
Wanna know why? Every human is ret*d in some form.

That's all well and good, but you need to work on your spelling, no offense.

Anyway, it seems like most people who call Aspies ret*d are doing it to piss us off. Then again, I've only been called socially ret*d, so meh.
