Anyone ever meet anyone famous before in their life?

Yes, I handled his transaction (and his credit card). I think living in New York City made me immune to how exciting it should have been. I don't like everything he's written but am impressed how he worked out his trauma issues in his writing.
I should not have laughed at him. I didn't realize how much alike we must have looked, him with his cowboy hat and walkman, and me with my baseball cap and walkman, both haunting the aisles of bookstores. I guess I was still trying to fit in.

I was upset that I missed meeting Isaac Asimov. At the time I really liked his books (I don't like his attitude that if someone is born in poverty they'll never amount to anything). But all I got to see was his back as he went out through the revolving doors....

Last one I met was Terry Pratchett, the author. met him at a con and didn't reliase who he was for about ten minutes.

Also spent an evening playing truth or dare with Richard Biggs from Babylon 5, nicest GOH a con ever had . A truly sweet guy.

I met Alan Rosenthal, who I believ is considered the best documentary filmmaker in the world at the moment. He guest lectured at my uni for a couple weeks.

Funny thing is... he looks EXACTLY like the father of a family friend. They even have the same hairstyle and accent! It freaks me out!

I've met Bill Maher, a political comedian. He's definitely an NT, with his humor and all. Although his jokes can be downright offensive at times, he's pretty cool as a person. He even gave me an autograph when I asked him for one.

With me, I can say I've talked directly with, shaken hands with, and even talked to many very famous dj's in the electronic music scene. Then again that's just how it is and as much as people may love one person's music, no one's chasing em arround for autographs because it isn't seen as cool. As for one of those who crossed into a famous sitcom, I was standing about 6 feet away from spinning a hard-house set back in 1998 was Lars from the Real World IV - he was listed as Dj Lars and the party was Rhythm (I really went to see Dj SS that night but Lars's set was definitely slick too). My friends also had pictures fom Connected 2.0 in Toronto when they were chillin with Roni Size.

As for famous sports figures, nobody major, but I can say I've met at least 2 or 3 pro football and basketball players who either married into our family or who my dad talked into comming over and making instructional videos with since he's into coaching football. Like I said, I could mention their names but you'd have to be a real sports buff to remember em.

Lol, that reminds me, I did meet the Iron Shiek. I was over a relatives house about 15 miles away and I guess he lives like 3 doors down from em. They were were having a pig roast and he was sitting there talking about sports, news, or something with my dad most of the time.

Very old many wrinkles I guess he had no make up on at the time.
