Alaska Airlines has cancelled all inbound flights to Portland and Seattle.
Greyhound and Amtrak have cancelled all service to Seattle and eastern Oregon.
Portland's bus/light rail system is running with chains and traction devices on them,
people who need a bus ride have to wait an extra 30 minutes at the most.
The Portland area is still under a Winter Storm Warning until 10 AM Monday morning.
My bf was late to work because of that. He didn't get in till 1 AM and he worked two extra hours to make up for the time he missed and it took him till noon to get home. The switch in the tracks keep freezing at the Gateway Transit Center so that's why my bf was late to work.
I'm sure you heard about the Amtrak train being stuck on 1st and Stark and then another one was stuck somewhere.
Yes I did. The Amtrak train was in sight of Union Station!
Poor people had to wait five hours before they "arrived."
Amtrak is in the process of restoring service to Seattle and Eugene.
Greyhound has cancelled all service to Seattle and Spokane
and has cancelled all inbound buses on route to Portland.
At the airport, over 100 flights are in "Delayed" or "Cancelled" status.
Alaska, Horizon, and Southwest are trading passengers left & right!
