Thank you Adam, It's 6:00 am here and freezing in California. I'm sure I would be blushing if I could generate enough internal heat to just keep my fingers from sticking to the keyboard when I'm tying this...

I knew there was a thread about this somewhere... I just got this a couple days ago, it's not done yet (it's probably 80%, still needs a little more color and a gray shade on the empty space) and I'm getting it finished in like 3 weeks, it's looking pretty good so far though.

You have to use your imagination a little bit, but it's a Kwakiutl totem with the symbols of the raven (creativity, prestige, and knowledge), whale (wealth and long life), and owl (the human soul).

It took forever to take a picture of myself I didn't automatically delete. I added the softglow effect in Gimp because the lighting sucked.

This is my foot, this was all handpoked with a single needle.. Hurt like hell!
I also have some fairly nondescript stars on my hip and a scarification piece on my back..

I liked the artists style, and I wanted to see if I could really.. It hurt but I felt so proud that I'd sat through it! I had it a few days before I turned 21 so it felt a bit like a coming-of-age ritual..
