It's good to know I'm not the only one who can't stand sunlight...I was beginning to think I was a complete oddball.

I think that this thread needs some theme music...I'm considering something by Nox Arcana.

I know I'm not a vampire because I freaking love garlic. I am really sensitive to the sun, though.

Has anyone on this thread seen 'The Hunger', a marvelous, yet not too well- known,VERY non-traditional vampire film?

My question is, would you be Susan Sarandon's character, or Catherine Deneuve's?

Oh, do try to find that film, it will haunt you!

I looked it up, then watched it on Amazon Instant Video. First of all, the music and sound effects are bizarre, but I suppose it IS an 80's film after all. Second, holy lesbian sex scene, Batman! And Catherine Deneuve has weird boobs. Another thing, everyone smokes in this movie constantly. I wouldn't want to be either character because they both kinda give me the creeps.

Dear Rene-Descartes, LOVE your owl!

Dear Forkful-of-Soup, agree with much of your thoughts, but what did you think of Deneuve's roomful of ex-lovers?
And personally, I thought David Bowie was rather perfect for this weirdness!
Need to re-watch it, it has been a long time since I saw it.....

You're right about David Bowie, although I don't think his character had much...well, character. And the attic full of lovers makes me think of a child who outgrows certain toys and packs them away in the attic.

Why not just wear a t-shirt that says that?

I think we all should.
