You sound like a nice kid, though!
I will look for that song and post it, if that's OK?

I don't remember seeing Soul Train but I've heard of it.

Did you like Winnie the Pooh?

I like him somewhat. I didn't get too much into Winnie the Pooh when I was a kid, for some reason.

But Charlie Brown....now that was something I really identified with! I was the kid who never got a Valentine! Or who might try to kick the football.

Do you like "The Sound of Music (one of the greatest movies of all time, in my opinion).

I never saw the Sound of Music past the "I am sixteen going on seventeen" song because I always had to go to bed :(

I missed all the good classics because of bedtime.

I love Charlie Brown too. Charlie Brown Christmas, especially. Maybe I'll watch Charlie Brown Hallowe'en tonight. :skull:

Did you have a bicycle with a big chain lock?

Yep...and it got stolen, anyway!

It made me very sad. It was my first 3-speed bike. I was much sadder than when my 10-speeder was taken when I was a teenager.

Ever had roller skates with metal wheels and a key?

I love Sally. She's hilarious!

I did have metal roller skates with a key! Also a pink and purple skateboard.
Later, my own rollerskates with hand-made pom poms on them.
I was a funky but nerdy kid.

PS Sorry about your bike problems :(

I think I used to break my brother's roller skates LOL. I rarely ever roller skated with them. But that song "Brand New Key" was indelible in my childhood. By Melanie.

I did like going to roller rinks, though. I remember, at camp, when I was 7, roller skating to "Yummy Yummy Yummy I have love in my tummy."

Do you remember "bubblegum pop?"

I remember this song at my cousin's house in Philadelphia. Around the time we built a kite and listened to Disco Duck.

Does it count as bubblegum pop?

Yep. The Archies were definitely “bubblegum pop.”

Did you have a favourite stuffed animal or security type of toy?

The only one I had was a Santa Claus. And I didn't feel that much about it until I was about 12. It made me feel sentimental for about a year. Then it sort of faded.

Ever had a Easy Bake Oven? I secretly wanted one----though I wouldn't have been caught dead with one LOL

I love the smell of those little cakes!!

Did you have race car sets? My brother did! And a toy bowling alley!

I wanted one....but my parents didn't think I'd be responsible enough. I tended to break things pretty easily.

I used to have cars similar to Hot Wheels---but they weren't as expensive as Hot Wheels.

I used to really enjoy watching car racing. Like the Indy 500.

Same question.

I didn't have cars myself. I had a lot of Fisher Price stuff such as the little wooden Snoopy on a string, the record player with the little music box bumps on the records, and the Fisher Price Little People with the holes in their bottoms (lol you know what I mean I hope).

These people ^^^ I also had their houseboat.

Did you have those or know those?

I didn't like what I regarded as "baby" toys. I thought Fisher Price, Playskool, and Romper Room and all that were "baby" toys. I think I might even have a bad association with them associated with being very autistic.

Even though I liked watching Romper Room, and once dreamt about being on the show. I used to like the punching bags, and the Doo-Bees.

Did you ever get scared of the Gerber Baby?

I thought (though I couldn't verbalize it at the time) that the Gerber Baby symbolized "death," for some reason. Very irrational. I couldn't look at it for a long time as a child.

Did you ever feel that there was an apartment across the street where they did "operations?"
