No, I lived on a private street with just my grandparents' house, my auntie's house and our house surrounded by rolling hills. Wow, that sounds idyllic. I suppose it was :( There was no apartment or operations.

Did you ever go boating with your parents?

Only once, actually.

My father took me on a boat to a nice seafood restaurant in Sandy Hook, about maybe 20 miles from Manhattan. It was a very weird evening. I was 17. I had a crush on the wife of one of my father's friends that nightl

Have you ever water-skiied?

lol you and your older ladies

My auntie and uncle had waterski boats and they used to take my brother and cousins waterskiing. They even had an old round tabletop (plastic of some sort) that all the kids sat on and were pulled around by the boat. I was too scared. I sat on the shore reading. I missed out on so much.

Did you ever go to Beatlemania? I did.

Nope...never did.

I really wasn't that much into concerts as a kid. I believe my first concert might have been a Gordon Lightfoot concert when I was about 18. It was in a small auditorium-type place.

Same question.

Wait -- I stand corrected -- it wasn't the real Beatles, but the cover band called Beatlemania which was pretty famous.

I met Gordon Lightfoot in Montreal when I was a teenager. He was a heavy drinker. Nice guy though.

Did you ever wish you could be in a stage musical?

No way, Jose! I can't dance like that, or sing like that.

How about you?

I would never do it in real life, but of course when I hear the music I imagine how empowering it would be to sing.

I'd love to play Fantine or Cosette in Les Mis.

What is on your keychain? (key ring?)

The main key is the key with the Hyundai symbol.

Same question.

Hi Ferris and short fat!

My keys have a silver emblem with the initial of my surname, which was on my father's keys for his whole life. Then I also attached a little floral keepsake tag from the Brontë parsonage gift shop.

With my former best friend Christy we argued because I was introverted and always avoided seeing her or speaking by telephone, but I got upset if she saw our other friends. I wanted to spend time with her but it was overwhelming to follow the standards of teenaged-girlness. She knew what I was going through and tried to help but I finally pulled away. Shame.

I had a lesbian friend who had such a bad crush on a girl named Christine that she was arrested. She had her case dismissed, though.

My wife has a chain with a kangaroo, from Australia, where her son went once.

Ever had a cereal called Maypo?

I think I was in love with my Christine as well. I had no idea at the time, but I see it now because I'm still not healed from the friendship. Maybe the name Christine is all-powerful? My nephew is likely moving to Japan and then Australia. I used to have a Los Angeles keychain before my father passed away (when I got his).

I don't know Maypo.

You should look it up on YouTube. They had these funny commercials with kids who said "I want my Maypo!" I hated that cereal!

Did your grandma ever make you Farina?

My grandmothers didn't make me anything (except clothes). I had no female role models. Paternal was grief stricken and dying after grandfather left. Maternal was in LA being a model and having 5000 grandchildren with no time for any of them. Mother cleaning. I didn't have a sister. And all my female cousins were in another country. So, no.
