My favorite poet is T.S. Eliot (Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats)

I don't really have any serious arguments.

Places I wish I could return to: I can't wait to get back to the tennis court again. Tennis is on hiatus right now, but will recommence in December.

I feel stuck at times, feeling my development has plateaued, but maybe it really hasn't, as I'm learning new things all the time.

What was the greatest number of pets you have had at one time?

Yes. Although I'm generally pretty stoic and rarely have feelings of elation or euphoria.

Have you ever had anyone break up with you and if so, are you "over it"?

Yes. My "high school sweetheart" dumped me the summer before going off to college and away from home. I had had a few relationships before then and many after. In all other cases we either agreed to part amicably or I was the one doing the breaking up. Yes, I'm over it now since it's been almost thirty years since then, but it certainly hurt at the time and for quite some time afterward!

No, I've only had three boyfriends and I ended all of the relationships (if not jointly). All three turned out to be gay.
Frown.

Yes, though, I was the one who ended it, for many reasons.

Yes, but it was only a short relationship, I was over it within a fortnight.

If you could have one wish come true, what would it be?

If it was a selfish wish, it would be to find someone whom not only would love me, but I would love back, for the rest of our lives.

If it was a selfless wish, it would be for world peace/humanity's total awakening.

I'll copy the way you did it:

Selfish - I would want to relive my life without an ASD but retaining my current memories and intellect - I believe I could have had a far more successful childhood which would have laid the foundations for a better adulthood (instead of screwing up my education and ending up with almost no qualifications and struggling to find a job). Also would help me in my love life as I've been told I'm a pretty good looking guy, but my lack of social skills makes it hard to capitalise on that fact.

Selfless - Eradication of poverty, which I believe for the most part would eradicate the need for war as well.

How would you rate your childhood out of 10, and a brief explanation as to why you gave it that rating.

Depends on what ages are considered childhood, but my first instinct is to give my childhood 6/10. That's based on my experiences up to but not including puberty age. I had a lot of opportunities and a lot of experiences (travel, etc)., but I had undiagnosed ASD and therefore not a lot of friends. I didn't know at the time what I was missing. Likewise, my family communicated about as well as a brick, and my mother didn't mother.

Maybe 3 out of 10. Had some good times...but was a scared kid most of the time. I hated being a kid. Wanted to be an adult. Was bullied a lot.

I will give a broad score ranging from my first memories as a child until the end of my 17th year. 1/10.
Diagnosed with autism aged 4. Non-verbal until just before I started school (aged 4 and a half). Required speech therapy until I was nearly 7 (when I had only just caught up with everyone else). Had no friends and spoke to nobody at school. Ended up with selective mutism (only spoke to close family and a therapist). Bullied by most kids - wondered the playground alone every day. Dad believed the diagnosis was a lie. Was abused by dad until my late teens - verbally and physically. No romantic relationships. Did not learn to use the toilet until I was 11 - so soiling myself at school just caused more alienation, humiliation and anxiety. Took ages to learn basic things such as zipping coat, buttoning shirts, tying shoelaces. Still can't ride a bike or swim. Taken advantage of by other kids at high school as I was very naive. Sensory issues - had meltdowns over loud noises (trucks, hoover, fireworks, crowds), touch (having a bath or a shower was exhausting as my parents had to basically force it upon me), taste (certain foods made me cry), sight (flashing lights made me lose my sense of balance and get very dizzy) etc. My first high school gave me the bare minimum support and with inadequate support I got myself into bad situations which resulted in my expulsion. There's more, but I think that's enough.

Do you have any special skills/talents which you would like to share with people?
