I also like "Harper Valley PTA," and "Ode to Billie Joe."

I bet everybody has a favorite all-time song.

I honestly can't think of one and say, "That's definitely a song that I'll adore for the rest of my life."

I do have songs that hold special meanings to me, so if I have to say one, then "Dancing Queen - Abba"

What's your favourite meal for breakfast?

"Dancing Queen" was a prominent part of me being 16 years old LOL

Same question.

Favourite song ever: Something S&G but it would vary between The Sound of Silence, Old Friends, For Emily and Kathy's Song. Otherwise Elton's Someone Saved My Life Tonight, but that makes me very emotional and I can't hear it often.

Also, My Sweet Lord and Across the Universe.

breakfast food: raspberries and granola

what is your favourite hour of the day?

I don't mind the day; but I like the night better. I used to like the night much more than I like it now.

Yep.."My Sweet Lord" is one of my favorites, too.

I used to think that "Bridge over Troubled Waters" was too long (like "Hey Jude"). But later on, I grew to appreciate it. I remember listening to "Mrs. Robinson" with my father on a picnic in Cunningham Park in Queens when I was 7. Another one of my favorites.

What is your favorite part of the day?

I prefer night time as well. I feel like I come alive at night, and in the day I'm just a shell of myself.
I like this time of night, and for the next few hours, the very best.

Do you remember learning to tie your shoes? I learned on a ribbon on my nightie when I was about six or seven.

I learned when I was 6, too. But it was considered to be the "baby" way.

When I was 10, my father taught me both how to ice skate and how to tie shoes the "grownup" way. It took months for me to learn both.

I wasn't able to either dress myself or to write until I was about 6 1/2 years old. I did learn to cross the street on my own at that time.

When did you learn to tie your shoes?

My father taught me to skate as well. Our skating songs were "Hazy Shade of Winter" by Simon and Garfunkel because we liked to skate outdoors on cloudy days, and "Blinded by the Light" because I wouldn't skate indoors with the bright lights.

I think that once I could tie the ribbon on my nightie I could automatically tie my shoes. But, I don't remember actually tying my shoes for the first time.

I did a little of that in high school. Otherwise, not really.

If a woman, did a boy ever offer to carry your books?

If a man, did you ever offer to carry a girl's books?

I'm a woman 8) and nope, no boy or guy or man ever carried my books that I recall
So much for chivalry.

same q

I offered, and actually did carry the books of a French girl when I was in the 7th grade.

Same question.

Never read the book. Absolutely loved the movie.

I heard lots about it as a kid. When I actually saw it as an adult, I couldn't believe it! It was so transcendent---the little girl was so transcendent!! !!

Ever read "The Color Purple?" It's a much better book than a movie.

I loved Scout -- the little girl. I've read it and seen the movie. I used to say that Atticus had the voice of God.

I love The Colour Purple as well and I thought of it yesterday when I saw some purple heather "It psses God off if you walk by the colour purple in a field somewhere and don't notice it". That was my mantra growing up.
I've read it and seen the film too. Yes, the book was better.

Would you consider reading Mockingbird after WH?

I would enjoy reading "Mockingbird!"
