Sometimes

What information has someone researched about you, on the internet, and then confronted you about? Besides social networking and LinkedIn, what surprising statements, online, have you found out about someone else, and why was it surprising?

Nobody confronted me on anything on the Internet.

The most surprising information I read about somebody was when I researched Denis Istomin's life. I found out about his recovery from a car accident.

How old was the oldest person in your family?

My mother is 84. My dad, who passed away a month ago, was 86.

Same question.

My mother will be 80 next month. Her parents were in their early 80s.

My father's side all died rather young except his sister who was about 83.

I think my great grandmother Priscilla lived to be the oldest, maybe closer to 90.

The person in my family who's the oldest yet still alive is my grand-grandfather. I think he's turning 78 later this month.

My great grandparents all passed away way before I was born.

What're your relationships with your parents like, if they still alive?
I have a pretty good relationship with my mom, despite the fact that I tend to be kinda distant because I like to be alone, at least when I'm at home. My dad is real can of worms. He might still be alive, but I wrote him off several years ago because he's an abusive monster. Thankfully I haven't seen him since 2010.

My father was incredible. I can't describe him any better than to say he was a great man. I always loved his side of the family although it was a very, very small group of people (mostly with ASD characteristics).

My mother and I have never been close -- she's quite toxic to me, really. I barely speak to her because of my mutism but I see her quite frequently and give monosyllabic grunts. It's very uncomfortable. Her side of the family is huge and they're all rather like her, but I don't see them often as they are spread all over the world.

My Mom who died last January and I shared so much in common in our personalities. She was a calming force. She was one of the few people I could be around in which I had no appreciable level of anxiety. I could just "be". The only other people I can/could have nearly no anxiety around are my wife, her mother, a departed sister of hers and her departed father.

My Dad, while a good person, is the opposite personality. He makes me nervous and agitated. He's very ADHD and he has a lot of anxiety. He wasn't around much (traveling salesman). It takes me a good amount of time after seeing him to calm back down. Strangely I have a sister that is exactly like him and my reaction to her is the same as with him.

I just counted:

Dad's side: Four people total who lived on my street. Two adopted cousins.
Mother's side: Now, probably close to 100 including my cousins' children. Worldwide.

same q to other people, about your relationship with your parents.

My dad never spoke to me or noticed my existence. He topped himself.

My mother has some kind of narcissistic personality disorder, she makes me want to top myself.

I'm on my way to yours for cheesecake. I'd rather not be near them together, lest they reproduce.

Mother is good. Father was absent and has now been deceased for nearly a decade.

Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?
