I can't recall if I ever danced with him because I blacked out at his party and have had a hell hound on my trail ever since.....

If you were a musician in a rock band, what instrument would you want to play?

@Magna
Sorry I konked out on the music thread today. I was oversaturated with noise all day but I'll catch up!

I would want to be the vocalist (I'd love to sing in Les Mis, for instance) but for an instrument I'd pick sitar or bass.

Since we're talking fantasy, I'd say singer. I can't sing well, dance nor do I think I have any stage presence so it's fun to dream.

I've seen things where voice coaches can help a person quickly find their "voice" (ie their singing voice). I'd be curious as to what my "voice" would sound like.

I was overly prolific in my song posts today, enough for all of us! No worries.

Most bizarre thing you've seen at a live show?

The Whole Lotta Rosie blow up girl comes to mind, because I hadn't known of that before. lol.
Also Zakk Wylde (OZZY) playing guitar behind his back.

Same q (I'm sure I'll think of more pertaining to people off stage).

Oh! Also, Bowie had a really, really bizarre opening band that was like monks in white sheets with tambourines. ^

It was at a hotel bar in Thunder Bay, Ontario. It was a spandex clad hair band. The singer wore a cordless headset microphone. In the middle of a song, the singer jumped off stage and made his way into the men's bathroom, disappeared into it for a few minutes, waded through the crowd and jumped back on stage. All while still singing the song. Now THAT'S not skipping a beat!

This isn't a bizzare thing, but something that was classic: I saw The Sugarcubes, New Order and PIL in St Paul, MN. John Lydon on stage says (exact quote): "We're not brilliant, but we're the best fu**ing thing YOU'LL ever see!"

I don't know The Sugarcubes?

I didn't see any new wave bands live.

Name five bands you've seen live.

I have never seen a band live. I've heard that my city has a great punk scene and that I think the singer of a local punk band I like knows my mom. I'd like to see a band live, it's just that I'm worried about overstimming.

You saw The Smiths???? I'm massively jealous! How was it?

My Favorite live show? So tough to choose. I would have to say Grateful Dead (3 times).

Who was the first live band you saw?
