Do you believe January 6th is the last day of Christmas?

Yes, I observe the twelve days of Christmas ending on Epiphany / Twelfth Night.
I will not take my tree down before Twelfth Night, but it's usually quite a bit later.
My mother's birthday is on the fifth day of Christmas (29th).
I find it odd to celebrate New Years when it's the seventh day of Christmas. It seems people forget Christmas by then :(

It depends on what you mean by "near death". If you mean having to be revived, no. If you mean being in a situation that could have proved fatal but wasn't, then yes.

Being shot at at close range on two separate occasions.
Being hit by a car at a fairly high rate of speed while on my bicycle.

I learned about the concept, at first, through "A Partridge in a Pear Tree."

I don't know anybody, personally, who celebrates "the 12 days of Christmas."

What would you do if you actually got a Partridge in a Pear Tree?

You know me personally and I observe the 12 days of Christmas! So there! 8)

If I got a partridge in a pear tree I would feed the partridge and eat the pears, and be very pleased.

I observe Lent, too.

It's not so much that I'm super religious; I just like routines and repetition. I enjoy Christmas Eve mass and Epiphany for sensory reasons.

Which of the 12 days of Christmas song items would you want? (If you could just get singular items).

I was in a position, when I was 18, when a pervert could have killed me if he wanted to kill me.

I believe I would like the Five Golden Rings----as security for when I become bankrupt

Are you glad the dog was domesticated from the wolf?

Thanks Fuzzyair.

Isabella. The five gold rings. I'm not sure if would sell the rings or keep them though.

Kortie. Yes, dogs have improved the lives of humans immeasurably. Including mine!

Do you like the smell of incense?

No and lots of other smells.
This time of year I avoid certain departments in stores.

Do you like the smell of gasoline.

My life was threatened directly many times.

There's a running joke on my mother's birthday that she expects five golden rings.
I would want the swan swimming.

I like the smell of incense for a very brief moment but I can't remain near any prolonged scent.

I love the smell of gas / petrol.

I've never had an "unusual" pet.

How do you feel about walking cats like one walks dogs?

Not now but I had hermit crabs once, for my nephew. I also had a jellyfish.

My male cat follows me and the dog everywhere. My previous cat, a Maine Coon, followed us as well. I wouldn't want to put a collar and lead on a cat though.

Sometimes, I wish dogs had litterboxes like cats do.

Then again, going out for a walk is good exercise for either dog or cat.

Have you ever experienced a purple sky just after dusk?

Purple skies are beautiful. Yes, I've experienced them. They're magnificent especially with wispy clouds (you probably know the name of said clouds).
